I agree with you, Mr Jingles, I think it's mostly for the teenage audience. I think the concept of pirates is great, but for me they throw it all away by mixing those disney-characters with supposedly scary ghosts. Made me want to fall asleep. But if I got a kick out of watching Depp in a pirate's costume maybe I would have been swept away, who knows? ;) |

i saw it at midnight last night. me and my dear one dressed up as pirates. we certainly gathered attention. the movie was great i thought it was funnier than the first one but i like the first ones story better. |

I saw this yesterday!! I liked it much more than the first one. There was more to it. Its slightly random with the like "seacreature" people, but i liked it cuz im a bit of a fantasy fan. Johnny as always gave a fantastic performance! Hes hilarious! (Doesnt hurt that hes good looking either, but his performance really says it all) Can't wait to see the third one! |

I enjoyed the first one thoroughly, however, the second one was a disappointment. Aside from the inconclusive ending, the movie was mostly full of eye candy - great scenery, but what you saw before it was shallow, with a mediocre plot, but with some interesting characters. Overall, it was alright, though. |

I liked it better than the first one. I thought it was more straightforward. Then again, I didn't see the first one in theaters, I saw it on DVD and was watching it with time constraints... I thought this one was fairly unrealistic but I thought it was pretty good... I've seen better and I've seen worse. |

OMG! Yesterday Johnny Depp came to my country for the promotion of the movie and there were 3500 fans waiting to see him at the airport gate! We have to wait for the movie to be played in advance on this weekend, or in general we have to wait till the next weekend. I can hardly wait! |

Not a life changing movie, but a solid peace of entertainment. Davey Jones is great as a vilain and the story is prety solid as well. And I my jaw dropped to the ground when Barbosa showed up in the end, I wanted it to keep going. If you want to be entertained this is a movie to watch. Great swordfighting, great chase scenes (love the escape from the canibal's island), andf what an entrance for Depp. Go see it and have fun. |

I thought it was just okay. Certainly not as good as the first. I thought it was too long and wished they had edited it down to be a bit shorter. Could Kiera Knightly's acting be any more annoying? What is with the persistent acting as if she has an underbite? Blah. Loved Johnny's performance once again and thought he was the best part - wished he had been in it more! And the cotton candy that Tickqueener bought for me was good, too. :-> |
