I dont love all the songs, but they are all pretty good. I am absolutly in love with Barcelona, The Golden Boy, How Can I Go On, and The Fallen Priest.

Personally i thnk its a brilliant album!
see ya!
I LOVE Freddie's singing on this album. Beautiful. A very pretty lyric baritone sound in places. His best *natural* singing, IMO.
Especially "The Golden Boy," "Guide Me Home" and "How Can I Go On."
(I can do without Overture Piccante).
It is a masterpiece! It is the album Freddie really wanted to do and took AGES to record. It is deliberately very different from Queen and can you imagine anyone else being able to sing with The Super Diva? The vocals are superb as are the songs.Freddie knew that it would not be as successful as Queen-He considered himself one quarter of the band rather than the main man-It was the same with Mr Bad Guy especially in America-CBS wondered where all the heavy guitars had gone!Anyway, look at the amount of operatic and classical duets in recent years, yET AGAIN Freddie inspired another Musical trend.
I think it's a pretty excellent piece of work. Shame that some of the production sounds a bit dated. But the performances are there and it's a great release.
Peace,
Adam.
It's one of Freddie's most stellar vocal performances ever recorded, and the album itself is very soothing. I know if I'm ever having my little times where I'm not exactly in the best of spirits, it's always kind of uplifting. I'm probably not making much sense here. But in the sense that Freddie did this album with Montserrat, it stands the test of time, but I agree with Adam that the production definately doesn't stand up to the test of time.
i really liked it, it was the first solo stuff i heard from anyone, back in the day when I acctually found it and mr. bad guy in a store for new, instead of having to rely onb second hand or internet.
love it, and in fact think i have to go listen to it now

Baaaaarcelooooonaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!
Still takes my breath away!
simply one of the most underated pieces of work of all time. The pop and opera duets have become recently popoular and I believe freddie was one of the first to do it. It's among my favorite all time albums.
