This thread is dedicated to those of us whose Birth Certificate says our age, but our hearts and minds say we are much older and mature then that... Share your experiences and stories here on why you think so. Which time period do you think you belong in instead??? Myself, i think i belong around 1945-1950's being a toddler... and a teen in the 60's and 70's.... Anywho, i'll share more later, we'll see how much attention this one gets first before i bore you all away... |

I was waiting for this, dreaminng sweetheart!!!! I wish I was born in 1947. Then Freddie would be a year older than me, ad we would fall in love totally freaking badly xDxD But it also pisses me off thinking about some of my classmates telling me "You´ll understand when you get older" (yes they fucking did that! Just because I´m 4 months younger than them, and dont get the point of buying extreemely expansive clothes, and asked them what the point was, they treatet me like a little child! Now, I am a little less mature than they are in some ways, but still... Get a life *******!!! I asked my dad what the point was, since they could´nt get me an answer, and he told me that it was one of the basis needs, to realise yourself (or something like that xD). It´s all about prooving something, he said :s... *shakes head* I´m glad that I´m not bothered by that.. I cant afford it xDxDxD.! Besides I´d much rather by Queen ;) |

I'd fit in perfectly as a young person in the '60s, I'd say. |

I wish I'd known a world with truly fresh air. Having missed that opportunity, I can safely say that I'm in the time I should be in. Aside from maybe wanting to see the Titanic before it sank, there's not a lot I want from the past. The FUTURE, that's a different kettle of fish. Provided we don't kill ourselves, provided some clever cunt thinks of a way to fix our air, we've a lot to look forward to when people pull the finger out and start solving our problems. We'll find life on other planets. It will not be Mr. Spock. It will likely conform to *none* of the conventions of life that we're familiar with; but Brian May is wrong when he says there just isn't anything out there. He's more correct in assuming we probably just won't find it. But exobiology would be the most fantastic thing to see develop. Seeing how things might've evolved differently on a similar world to ours, now that'd be a hoot. But consider this, if it happened in one place it can happen in another. The odds are not on the side of anyone trying to find it in the galaxy, but it's sure as shit out there in one form or another. I want to know what a human would be like in five million years; the race'll be extinct by then surely but I'm being hypothetical. So you see, I could moan and wish I'd seen the pyramids (even though I can see them TODAY) or wish I'd seen the Titanic (they had photos of it, jeeze)... or I can lament about all the *fantastic* things that could be yet, in the future, that I will never see. |

The perfect time to have been born would be '49! You would turn the ripe age of 20 in '69, experience the awesome '70s while you're still young, be in your 30's during the '80s... Great! |

Besides I´d much rather by Queen ;):D I thoughtd u'd like this one FreMe! ;-D But yea, sometimes people love to underestimate us because of our date of birth... isnt that a bit like sexism? or racism??? Its making a stupid judgement... People need to talk to you more and learn to give you more credit where its due. I could care less for todays trends, because it doesnt suit my personality at all. Im convinced im like reincarnated, because everything im in love with is from like the 70's and back.. (Some 80's as well). I sometimes watch my fave show (THAT 70'S SHOW) and think, wow, how simple life was then. Not so many distractions. Just great music and good friends. Now everyone just moves so damn fast and has so many gadgets clogging up their view that they dont enjoy the simple things like nature or j/ bumming around with your friends for fun on a water tower or camping... It just seems that everything is spiraling out of control... We must figure out how to fix it before the world completely ruins itself.... |

ME TOO! I like being smart and knowing what im talking about. If i'm passionate about something i want to know about it and i could talk your ear off about it all day! Sometimes i think i annoy people because I'm like that. And i think thats why i dont have many friends my age because they are just too i duno... ridiculous... i dont mean like silly or have their moments of immaturity, who doesnt?? I do a lot, but they dont know how to have a serious conversation either. No balance.... I duno, i think people htink im a pretentious bitch... they dont get me... and i dont feel very good about myself... And id rather hang out with adults anyways. My moms always afraid im gonna marry like a 60 year old man. And i'm really wound tight, always a worry wart like an old lady... i dont know how to be a kid sometimes... i hate it.... So i pretty much overall am by myself in alot of things unless i'm with family... wow im a loser... |
