Actually, he used to be a ping-pong champ back when he was attended boarding school in India.

what type of BALLS did he use to win the championship?
I saw freddie with elton john at newcastle united when watford were playing them. Elton john was watfords chairman then!!!
Not sure weather freddie enjoyed the game though, although 2 years later queen came to st james park (newcastle united) so he must of been impressed with the atmosphere..........
i dont know whether he likes football or not but one thing i know is he didn't write the song for football anthem...he wrote it for the the gay community..
Straight from Freddie:
"I was thinking about football when I wrote it. I wanted a participation song, something that the fans could latch on to. It was aimed at the masses; I thought we'd see how they took it. It worked a treat. When we performed it at a private concert in London, the fans actually broke into a football chant between numbers. Of course, I've given it more theatrical subtlety than an ordinary football chant. You know me".

So it is about football, not the gay community.

Oh well, nobody's perfect. We can't all support United unfortunately! ;)

He liked basketball...he liked shooting hoops with Micheal Jordan back in the day, and from what I heard he liked to talk a lot of shit on the court...swoosh!!!!! ALL NET BABY!!!!
I'm sorry but I'm a bit lost here. Are you guys talking about football as in soccer or American football? I'm just so used to football being soccer that I tend to get confused. Sorry!
Football in the sense of Pele, Dino Zoff, Luigi Riva, Stanley Matthews, Marco Van Basten, Alessandro del Piero, Jan Tomaszewski, Diego Maradona, Gordon Banks, Giuseppe Meazza, Obdulio Varela, Peter Boleslaw Schmeichel and Enzo Scifo. The sport around which 'The Beautiful Game' spins. Football as in "today Holland won against Ivory Coast" or as in "Oscar Ruiz is the worst football referee ever".
Or if you want a short answer: yes, association football, or what Yanks call "soccer".
Thanks! I thought so. I couldn't imagine Freddie liking football (the tackling american one). No offense to anyone here but I HATE that kind of football!! I love soccer!
