Most fans throw this track away and I havent heard it in years since my GH3 cd got a crack in it (I dint bother to buy another one, I guess it bit the dust pun intended) anyway the track isnt a throw away track. It's a hidden gem in the interesting relic that's within it... okay my sense of the dramatic sucks so I'll just cut to the chase. The song has Freddie's pure vocals on it, not sped up a semitone like the album track. It's interesting to hear the vocals at the real speed especially at 2:40 at the "beullets rip part". Take a watch of the video at youtube. link |

Sorry, man, but both the song and the video are horrible. I'd rather watch Crazy Frog on a loop than that, and that's saying a lot. |

Actual-pitch? Woah I might just have to subject myself to this piece of shit purely for my curiosities' sake. |

Interesting aspect but the songs still sucks ass. |

Freddie's vocals weren't speed up. The rhythm track was speed up because the tempo wasn't good enough. After the speeding Freddie sang the vocals. Brian also said this in his soapbox last year. (And it's not a full semitone, it's more of a half ssemitone) This version was brought back to the original pitch for some reason, Freddie's vocals also sound unnatural. |

I thought Brian was questioned on it and admitted that the track was pitched half a semitone at some point after they finished recording and he didn't find out about it until they were doing the 5.1 mix for Greatest video hits due to the synching of the video and the mix. That's what I thought I read, I don't know that post must have been atleast last year so my memory could be shoddy. |

I couldnt care less about what they did to Freddies voice but what ever they did ruined a ecellent song I would rather have my testicles continually shot at with a paintball gun than listen to over a minute of the song. The only good bit is the opening "are you ready for this are you standing on the edge of your seat, i need a break now" Wycliff sounds so butch |

I like the line "This remix will be critically acclaimed"... um, no. Atleast not among Queen fans lol. I forgot that it was done for that movie about the living toys, Small Soldiers. It's funny that a random wax figure with a moustache and Freddie jacket makes an instant Freddie even though it looks nothing like them. It must've taken them all of two seonds to put that "wax figure" of Freddie together. |

Another interesting fact about it: IT SUCKS. |

Well, I like the video. I may not like hip-hop and rap and that kind of stuff, but I somehow like it! : D |
Bobby_brown 15.06.2006 15:27 |
So, was Freddie´s voice pitched up or not? Take care |
breakthru1989 15.06.2006 15:44 |
sorry,it ain’t interesting. not the original queen studio version, nor wyclef’s version. dust live is nice to hear or see because the song will come alive. |

Hahahaha clever thing with the shoe! Why are they tryna steal Freddie's statue? :P |

Bobby_brown wrote: So, was Freddie´s voice pitched up or not? Take careyeah, slightly. Slightly in the truest sense of the word. I don't think the backing track was just pitched and Freddie sung over that, I'm pretty sure the whole thing was slightly pitched half a semi |

Another interesting fact: the remix it's in mono. |

Brian said that what Freddie sang is on the record. |

I find it amusing that many online discographies omit the Wyclef/Dust singles. It's as if people think, "If we stop acknowledging its existance maybe it'll never have happened!" Sorry, folks. They remixed it, added some rap to it, remixed it a few more times, released a couple a singles and now everyone of us has to live with the fact that it's out there. Please, with everything that's wrong with the world, and all the drama in life, I can't bring myself to be bothered not liking this version. Seriously, if you going to hate something, let it be something worth while, like censorship, oppression, Disney, wife-beating, George "Dubya" Bush Jr., take your pick. I'm going to listen to the Team One Black Rock Star Main Pass Mix again... Because I can. Peace out, yo. |

By far. Those two don't look like Freddie at all. I knew the vocals sounded different in this track but hadn't noticed the pitch change. It had been about 6 years without listening to the song, btw, eventhough I've got two singles with that song in them. So this is how it was actually recorded. Freddie's vocals still sound great, though. Wiley |

If we stop hating certain things because there's worse things in the world, we numb ourselves to the idea that our lives are becoming more and more mediocre, simply because we're too complacent to DO anything about it. Your idea is terrible. You should be taking a stand with the things that piss you off, however trivial, because if you live a life of compromise as you suggest, and ONLY act up when it's a matter of global security, then you're just bending over to God, Fate, and Father Time and saying 'give it to me bad boy'. |

I hate it when 'modern artists' go and screw up a classic song like that! Either that or some idiots find a fab song and totally transform it into some AWFUL dance mix, incessantly played on the radio until your ears bleed! ....anyway, moving on... its dreadful. I've never listened to it all the way through. Not once! First time i heard it i skipped to the next song about 10 seconds in. Only Freddies vocals would make it bearable to listen to! |

well some people hate it and some like it like all artists music.... |

queen4ever2 wrote: well some people hate it and some like it like all artists music....Yeah. But this thing is shit. I don't like this kind of music, so I'm not one to comment, but usually I appreciate it when the rhyme is creative or funny, or if perhaps they put a funny rhythm to it. But this guy is *worse than Average Homeboy*. I wish this shit had never been released. |
