Yes, I know, this is QUEENzone, but hey, personal froums *do* say you can post "anything you like". So here goes!
I recently became extremely... infatuated, I guess you could say, with the Canadian prog-rock band, Rush. What are everyone elses thoughts on Rush?
I like what I've heard on the radio.
They were one of my favourite bands that got played when I used to listen to the rock cross-over station (it was some old and some new). Except, I didn't know who the heck they were until I changed to the "Classic Rock" station and they actually declared band names...
Haha. Classic Rock radio. It's like a simulation. I can make believe that what I listen to is really cool and on the radio all the time.
^You should, man. I myself have the first... six albums I think on vinyl. (Well, they're my dad's, but they're in my room!) And pretty much all their songs on my computer.
My best friend called Rush gay once, and I got really pissed off. I'm like "I'm gonna sick By-Tor on you!!!!'" She didn't get it, as I knew she wouldn't...
Brilliant track. The end of Xanadu is my all-time favourite Alex Lifeson solo.
Rush are definitely in my top 5 favourite bands, along with Queen, Yes, Dream Theater, and Led Zeppelin. I've seen Rush 4 times. They always put on an excellent show.
Ive always liked Rush , i recently got 2112 , i just started picking up albums , ive always known who they were ,i just never had the money to buy every thing plus the Queen shit lol

Definitely go for Permanent Waves, Exit Stage Left, and the Rio DVD. Those are the best three Rush releases in my eyes.

Fantastic. The R30 medley was amazing to see in concert. I almost died when they played Xanadu. That's one my favourite Rush tracks, and I had been waiting soooooooooo long to see them play it. Great DVD from the tour.
But Rio is better, for the audience alone!
I love these guys grew up listening to my uncle's lp's and was completely hooked and reading this has just got me going for their stuff again.
Fave albums 2112 a farewell to kings and HEMISPHERES a classic band.
I've always enjoyed listening to Rush, It's something different, ya know?
Out of all their songs though, to pick a favorite? Well I guess I'd have to say YYZ, Red Sector A, and Body Electric...

I have to say, my favourite is Stick It Out at the moment. By the way, have any of you got the new DVD set, Replay x3?
