Wow, this book rocked! I finished the unabridged version in only three days, and now this Saturday I'm going with a bunch of boring adults (as well as my parents) to see the movie even though everyone will think I'm just trying to tag along and be annoying.
I also look forward to getting the game.
Has anyone else read the book or seen the movie?
Haha. Par-tay for not liking to read! lol. I saw the film, and from a purely entertaining point-of-view, the movie was wonderful. I think the conspiracy thing is crap, but the actual action and intensity of the movie was really well done*.
*From the perspective of someone who HASN'T read the book, mind you. :-P

i liked the book but the movie could of been longer.....
It was a good book and I think the movie was very well done. Be warned...the most gruesome part is within the first five minutes...after that you are home free as far as stuff that will make you cringe

Well, I thought it was grusome, but I'm not into horror movies or anything, so my definition of grusome is pretty light compared to anyone who does watch that stuff.
Well, did you read the book? They talk about this monk named Silas, kind of a hired gun for this organization called Opus Dei...
Part of their thing is corporal punishment as a reminder of the sufferings of Christ, so first he takes this barbed wire thing off one leg, puts it onto the other leg, and tightens it deep into the flesh with a belt....**cringes**
Then he proceeds to whip himself with a Cat'o'Nine tails......
Maybe I just think it's creepy because back in the 1500's some Catholic priests were doing that....it was called penance.

oh yes, i saw that in the commercials...delightful.....*shivers*
I thought the film suffered, as films do when they try to make a fairly long, complex book into a 2 hour movie. It was still ok though.
Thought the book was excellent, and Angels and Demons is as well.
I can see why they get criticism, but I thought they were both really interesting.
I'd also recommend the Lucifer Code by someone or other.
