That's him?!?? Aw, it's okay Deacy, I LIKE YOUR VOICE! :D |
mystic_rhythms 07.06.2006 20:49 |
Interesting...no wonder he rarely sang, if at all. It's okay, though; no one said he had to have the best voice. Also, I heard that there's a live performance of Liar in which he sings during the second bridge ('all day long') Is it true, and if so, does anyone know what concert? |
KingMercury 07.06.2006 21:11 |
and that's why he didnt sang anymore jajajajaja he has a different voice than the others members, is out of tune |
rocks. 07.06.2006 21:14 |
Hahahahaha, I love Freddie, he's like a walking talking singing add for all his products. As if anybody in the audience didnt have it already! :P ETA: aww, he wasnt THAT bad, but..not a singer. He's the type you dont mind hearing sing in the shower every now and again. |

Rick 08.06.2006 04:26 |
Yes he DID sing in Bristol. It's clearly John. His way of singing is identical as they way he talks. But you can hear John quite often. I think In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited live at Earls Court '77 is even a better example. See for yourself. During the chorus, you can see/hear Roger, Brian and Freddie. At a certain moment, John walks to his mic and starts to join them, at that time, you can hear a 4th voice sing --> it's John. I can hear John during Live Aid, Houston 1977 and even Milton Keynes 1982 during Somebody To Love. Just after Brian's solo, you can see John sing in his mic together with Roger. Freddie sings 'somebody' and Roger/John are answering him in the same way: 'somebody'. Brian doesn't sing in that part, because he was at the front of the stage. I can clearly hear Roger and another voice, it must be John, because Morgan Fisher didn't sing during the Queen concerts. It's not rare hearing John, because you can hear him on many bootleg recordings. |
john bodega 08.06.2006 05:24 |
I didn't think he was out of key so often though. His biggest problem is that he sounds like he's 'talking' the tune, haha. |
Rick 08.06.2006 05:32 |
I agree. But I think he could improve his voice if he would. Anyone can sing, you just need to practise a lot. I think he did try some things with his voice in the studio, but Roger once told him that he never ever should sing again. |

vtx 08.06.2006 08:12 |
yes! he uses one of those special microphones with the funny name i think they are called "off" |
liam 08.06.2006 09:13 |
of coarse he bloody sang. You can hear him in several concerts, we see him him sing into freddies mic and why on earth would he choose to only 'mime' less operatic vocals, no he does only sing them becuase he isnt capable of singing them and he knows that. I dont think his voice is that bad, its the kind of voice you'd expect from a backing vocalist of a band. |
Poo, again 08.06.2006 10:13 |
I didn't hear John in this booleg but he was obviously signing. I bet he's got a low voice :P |
deleted user 08.06.2006 10:30 |
Well, I certainly heard that pretty clearly! God, I've never heard him sing before, it was... well... interesting! Bit out of tune have to say, but fair play to him for adding his bit, because he didn't have much confidence in his voice anyway. But having said that his voice really isn't as bad as he might think it is. It could have been a lot worse, like one of my 90-odd-year-old great aunties getting up and doing karaoke at my parents' wedding, or something to that effect. |

I'd imagine it was something along the lines of, "Well... you tried dear!" As for what Rick said earlier on about Roger telling John he should never sing again, how nasty of him! Poor Deaky! |

People¡¡¡ I'm extremely amazed by your ignorance. THAT IS NOT JOHN SINGING¡¡¡, THAT'S THE PLAYBACK TAHT QUEEN USED IN SOME OF THEIR SHOWS. This of course is not a bad thing because the guys sang inspite of that ( I mean, by their selves and the playback at the same time). And this playback was sometimetimes OUT OF TIME, this same thing happened in BRAZIL once(if I'm not mistaken)I REALLY THOUGHT YOU KNEW THAT .SO nobody can die peacefully yet. GOOD LUCK ¡¡¡, FROM THE THIRD WORLD¡¡¡ BYE, AND TAKE CARE¡¡ |

vonkeil this post you've made... it makes JOHN AS LEADER SINGER at this 2o second clip ... really, John is at first place and Roger is in the back of the vocals,,, :) |

Not bad! Heehee! John's the best! Thanks for sharing guys! Now I know his singing voice! <<HUGS>> to all! |

John had a crap voice. His mic was turned up for the chorus of In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited at Earls Court 77. It sounds like pure crap. The man couldn't sing. And if that is John singing Ga Ga in Milano 84, then same story. Next topic, please. |
deleted user 09.06.2006 13:23 |
even though the camera showed him....the others were also singing so they were louder than him...still can't make out his voice....i'm sure john has a nice voice...even though a saw him speak in an interview and his voice was very weird. |
RETROLOVE 09.06.2006 23:12 |
I dont know if this is true or not, but I took chorus in Middle and high school, and my chorus teacher used to always tell us that she because you DONT HAVE A GREAT SOUNDING VOICE you can still LEARN HOW TO SING CORRECTLY and mix in with others who can sing.... IS THIS TRUE...? |
Asterik 10.06.2006 14:13 |
Well, there's even more conclusive proof on Live At Wembley where he joins in with Roger on the doo wops during You're So Square. He also sings during TYMD there because there is a power on the chorus unless Spike sung too from the background. I think John sang on the bits where volume rather than technical prowess was required. |
liam 11.06.2006 09:39 |
Asterick has it perfectly. He sung when a full loud harmony was required. And yes noone can deny he doesnt sing the doo ups wif roger on wembley. |
Bohemian MAY-niac/Deaconite 11.06.2006 20:57 |
Poor Deaky!! I'm sure his singing voice is ok. At least he made an attempt to sing. I bet my voice is worse than his!! It's OK John. We still love you!! |
