Hi Folks
A little technical help from anyone electronically more educated than I...
In the UK, we're fast making the switch over to Digital TV. Analogue signals will disappear by 2009, if I recall correctly.
Will this same switch over apply to radio?
If so, I have a wee retro problem. I own a Bush SRG140 Radiogram. This is one of those old table looking things, with a radio and turntable inside. The turntable isn't used any more, but the radio is. It has excellent reception, very little hiss, great volume, virtually distortion free.
I'd love this to stick around for a while, but if FM is going to switch off at some point in the future, this becomes obsolete (well...even more than I suppose it is now).
This is a great old piece of retro furniture...the dial is marked with "VHF" and stations from across Europe that just don't exist any more. Shit, COUNTRIES that don't even exist any more!
Anyway - is there some sort of conversion kit? Will I be doomed to MW and LW? Or am I worrying about nothing?
Thanks for any help.
P
this could be tricky
i have no idea where to start, but two options worth trying....first of all...get one of those DAB kits for a car stereo
now...
1. is there any kind of line-in on the radiogram?
or
2. how about using the connectors ont he back of the stylus? will they work as a line-in? - on some old stylii there are four...i'm not sure how each works, but it's worth looking at
Lol, Brenski...
Grateful for all help, but you may already be talking in a language that I couldn't possible understand!! It might help if I take some digital pics and put them on here...?

ok....if you look undeer the stlus-head (ie where the needle is) you will find that usually three or four leads connect to it...these carry the analogue signal from record groove to amp. my suggestion is...if you try to connect these to a DAB car kit or any DAB kit..
after all, it's just a signal that is carried to amplifier...
I know nothing about it so I don't have anything to say about it. But I do want to know about Digital Marketing Company as I have to do an assignment about it. I want to read content that it is good and very informative.
