hey guys im andy listen what would you think of instead of paul rodgers we had our own new queenlineups this would be mine ive looked on loads of stuff and these people match i think
John wetton: vocals, guitar
Ricky Phillips: vocals, bass guitar
Brain may: lead guitar
Roger Taylor: drums, percussion
Geoff downes: keyboards
you shoulda used the "search" key....this thread done so many times before....
anyhow...if you are going to do this...why not throw out Brian and Roger too?
how about the "Heavenly Queen" line-up
vocals/piano: freddie mercury
bass/back vox: phil lynott
guitar/vox: randy rhoads
rhythm guitar: brian jones
drums: keith moon
If Queen does anymore material with anyone other than PR as Queen, i am selling all of my Queen collection and retiring. Seriously.

I suggest you stick to ABBA and refrain from comments on line-ups. You may be an expert theoretic on arrangements and scoring, but you're just a narrow-minded cynic when it comes to real-life music.
Hey, ummmmmm Adolfo…..ummmmm I was referring to the very first post of this topic……so…..ummmmmmmm, if you are going to post here, please stay focused and know what you are talking about before you act….ummmmmmmm ok…… I know who John Deacon is.
I think Queen and U2 should do an album that would be cool and if anyone dose not like this response to this thread dont bother responding to it because it would make me very angry indeed.

I agree to disagree. Btw neither I'm expert nor I'm narrow minded or cynic. Queen were the four of them, full stop. And ABBA were indeed brilliant.
Lead Vocals: Freddie MErcury
Guitar: Brian MAy
Ass: woops i mean Bass Bass: John Deacon
Drums: Roger Taylor
idk that seems like a pretty good Queen line up
but there could be better

I beg to differ. ABBA produced a steady output purely formulaic music, and thus not artistically interesting. Moreover, their lyrics were shallow and overly 'catchy' (at the cost of poetic content). That to me does not make a good band.

How about adding a guy named Spike Edney to the line up for some extra keyboards?... only for live appearances, that good enough.

I never thought they actually needed an auxiliar keyboardist...
