Hi,
just read that Brain May will play his RED SPECIAL
on the track Bad For Good on the new Meat Loaf album Bat Out Of Hell 3 - The Monster Is Loose.
To be released Oct. 2006.
That will make this album even better:-)
Bye
bad for good..is an old jim steinam album and song....meat has been reliving old steinman tracks since "booh II - back into hell"
shame there's no new stuff
and BHM cannot improve this track...it's already an awesome track..much like the steinman originals that got reworked for "booh II - back into hell"...out of the frying pan, lost boys and golden girls, rock n roll dreams come through...these tracks were pale shadows of their originals...shame meat couldn't do much for them.....but steinman's originals were the definitive versions
link
and on several Meat Loaf Fanpages.
In my opinion., meat is a way much better singer than Steinman. The song on Bat 2 are far better than the Setinman versions on his solo album.
And there will be new material on Bat 3. If i understood this correct, not all the songs will be Steinman songs. Anyway, I'll buy the album.
On mlukfc.com you can download half of teh song The Monster Is Loose.
sorry. i think we were at cross-purposes. what i meant was that - the Bad For Good album was how steinman intended them to sound. BOOH II was how they re-worked them.
Bad For Good...was Steinman's showing Meat what he missed out on..as it came ata time whent hey "fell out" and Meat used other writers/producers...the Steinamn album is (imo) as good as anything Meat did since - either with or without Steinman
Steinman produced Bat2, there are only 4 orginals by him on that album. Bat 3 will be about 7 Steinman songs with contributions by others. Should be fantastic and Brian playing on Bad For Good will be a treat :-) Yes, I am a big Meat fan by the way!
In my opinion, Meat is the best voice for Steinman songs.
Unfortunately, Bat 3 will contain not only songs by Steinman. But it'll be called Bat 3.
And Steinman isn't even producing it. Heard something that he asked Meat to rename the album and do Bat 3 with him later. The answer was somthing like: When Steinman is ready to do Bat 3, I'll be retired....
Anyway, what i've heard so far is great. And I'm looking forward to the concerts starting in spring 2007. Saw Meat several times here in Germany and it was always a great and very enjoyable show.
