Thanks so much for this concert. It was my 1st concert I ever attended and I've been a huge fan of Queen and Thin Lizzy ever since. Lizzy was the warmup band for Queen that night. |

At least some of them? I hope you are not burning your CD's out of these MP3, beacuse they will be worth nothing if you want to trade them later. If you are keeping your copies lossless send me e-mail at gp_boottrade@iol.pt if you want to trade. |
The Real Wizard 24.05.2006 11:45 |
Why is it that the best recordings are showing up in mp3s now? Puebla 10-17-81, and now this! This one has a bit more hiss, it's definitely one or two generations better than the one I have. Could someone please share this one in flac? Perhaps epislash? |
PBB 24.05.2006 12:33 |
Thank you for sharing. |

epislash Well that's ok, and once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH! |
epislash 24.05.2006 16:48 |
yeah i dont get it. I've busted my ass the past week putting 5-6 concerts up here and still get some people complaining. Yes, i will try to put them in FLAC next time i upload 5 or 6 more. Worth nothing if i want to trade them later? They aren't worth anything now. They are worth what people want...and they want rare Queen shows. FLAC has been new to me, and i am not sure how i can convert them. Thats why they are in mp3. I record them into wav files using adobe audition. I dont see where i can save them as FLAC when i save the files. I'll burn the ones i have from my mp3s for my own use then. Well whatever, as i said in my first post recently, "converted to mp3 160kbps..take it or leave it" |

Well whatever, as i said in my first post recently, "converted to mp3 160kbps..take it or leave it"I don't think anyone was really complaining.. Its just that some prefer to have them in flac/wav over MP3 format. Are you extracting the shows from CD's or something else? If it's from CD's, you can used EAC. It's a program that will ectract the files directly from the CD in wav form and then you can use another program to convert them to flac.(which compresses the files but you don't lose quailty, only file size.) Most of the places I download shows from use the flac format. If you prefer sharing them in MP3 format , then that's your choice. I wouldn't mind having this show in Flac format if someone is willing to share it. If not, then it's my loss. |
epislash 24.05.2006 17:46 |
No, they are all on cassette tapes that i collected about 10 years ago. And i've got about 200-250 shows...all on cassette. I just got them out and started to share them all with this board. I have a tape deck hooked up to my computer. I use Adobe Audition and when i go to save the file, i don't see the option of saving it in FLAC. So therefore i was saving them in mp3. Maybe audition has a plugin i can get to save them in flac. I'll look around. |
fernandosales 24.05.2006 18:44 |
Don't worry, Pete. The "FLAC/MP3" question don't make sense, if the sound's source is a old self-made recorder tape. Great work you did with your tape. Let me thank you again. If there's others concerts that you can upload here, you're welcome. |
epislash 24.05.2006 21:33 |
thank you! and yes there will be tons more to come. I am just trying to do them in between work and such. I'm glad i am making some people happy with these concerts, mp3 or not. Take care and i'll have some more up soon for you all. Pete |

If there's others concerts that you can upload here, you're welcome. It actualy makes perfect sense to do it in Flac to preserve the full quality. where do you think most shows shared here as FLAC originated from? And I wasn't complaining, if you want to share as mp3, fine, i got my first shows in mp3 as well and still have many in this format. but since I'm into trading shows now, i prefer to have them as lossless Flac so I can trade them. No serious collector accepts MP3 shows in a trade. Now to epislash. as cougar said to share in FLAC you need to save the files as WAV in your harddrive and then encode them with FLAC frontend that you can get for free. I understand if you can't do it because of discspace resons, both WAV and FLAC take up a lot more space than MP3. just a tip, if you want to encode the shows you already shared as FLAC, do it from the tapes and not the MP3 you already shared because then all you have is MP3 sourced Flac wich can be worse than MP3. Also I'm at least glad that you tell people what they are getting when they download some people here just post a link, and we are suposed to waste bandwith just to figure out what it is. Another tip, if you decide to post in Flac try to give us the tape generation as well, that is a usefull info when trading and also downloading. Cheers and keep up the good work |

Fantastic show, thank you! It is appreciated once again. |

Hi epislash ! Thanks for this. Sound better then my version. It will be realy great if You upload this on Flac format or just mail to me. Convert to Flac from wav is realy simple - 5min and done :) Recording on tapes are sometimes real tresures when on cd's sometimes availible from only high generation sources. |
The Real Wizard 26.05.2006 02:10 |
It seems that Epislash wants to post concerts for free in mp3, and that he'll do trades for his recordings in non-mp3. That is perfectly reasonable. |
