I have that on my iPod! And the night that was released on telly I saw that, came abit of a surprise for me actually because I didn't know anything about this proggram happening or Queen even being on it, but I was switching through the channels that night around 11:45pm and then Brian was on my telly and I was like, "WHAT THE...BRIAN MAY!" and he was talking about Jimi Hendrex, because Jimi had came 2nd on this poll. So anyway I thought, "Well, I'm going to keep this channel on, maybe some more of Queen might come on" and then shortly after I said that THIS what you had sent on here had came on and I was like, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GO QUEEN!" :D
Our boys stole the show! *grins*
The only thing I disagee with on this clip is Geldolf saying "the last group that people thought would come out and steal show were Queen."
Eventhough their popularity was down at this time.... Freddie Mercury was still known..even at this time.. as one of rock music's greatest frontmen.
It was no suprise to me that they came out and kicked ass.
Everyone else got owned that day. Queen literally embarrassed their peers.

That's true, but he wasn't THAT well known outside rock circles - this event exposed the whole world to the guy and most of them were blown off their seats - I distinctly remember folks at work, who must have been mid-40's - commenting on Queen. We, the fans, knew what Queen could do, the rest of the world.....
my dad has the dvd... happiness XD and he went to live AID... jealousness he was invited to the Dutch studio from where Live 8 was broadcated, showing around the t shirt from live aid. the presenter asked if he ah-ohed along with freddie XD
After 21 years no one have topped that performance. I would not want to be the next performer on stage after Freddie. Poor Bowie he must have gone to see a shrink for like a decade after getting on stage after Queen and not been able to match Freddie showmanship.
