Well, reading Brian's latest entry on his website - it's obvious that they are planning to do a gig on Freddie's birthday this year, which would have been his 60th! Exciting! I put my bets on a show in London! ;-) Never too early to open up a topic in which we can keep eachother informed out all this, is it?! ;-) |

Wow, that would be great! Count me in ... ;-) |

Careful, Jeroen, Brian does not mention a gig. He said they consider to do "something" to mark the occasion. A couple of weeks ago a show about Queen was filmed for a German TV station and the fans who were there heard about an upcoming Double DVD to commemorate Freddie's 60th birthday/15th anniversary. So, the "something" might well be another edition of the Untold Story. But to be on the safe side, I won't plan a longer vacation around that time:) |

A while ago John Stuart said that there is a release planned for the 60th b-day but we should not expect too much. QP must have hours and hours of unreleased Freddie interviews and other material, they can release 20 more extended Re-told Stories. |

Allswell?Hey Jeroen, Yes...been very busy with work, work and some work. So the posting on this board decreased to a minimum. I had the day off and found some time to visit the board again. How were your USA experiences? I had a hell of time in Cleveland Richard |

I heard about a FM 2-disc DVD several years ago, and then it was said it was put on the back-burner for a while. One disc was going to be a extended version of the Untold Story, and the other disc was going to be a more comprehensive set of promo-videos and interviews *i think*...! Though I wouldn't be suprised if things have changed. |

I hope it will be a gig!! |

Well I can tell you what Brian is doing on Freddies birthday....He's gong to have a little lie in get up have a shower, clean his teeth, a spot of breakfast, open his post and for the rest of the day I'm not sure but lets hope its off for sound checks etc for a large concert with a few guest singers like a small Tribute concert |
Richard Lopata (new email) 12.05.2006 07:28 |
Unfortunately it's going to be a "Very Best of" album ... a-gain Too bad, really would like to have seen a Tribute Concert; would have been a great excuse to go to London again , hahaha |

I already have the box-set. They can re-release that or the mini box. I think this has to be more special than that, and i go for a kind of Tribute 2. Will John join them??- Don´t know. Probably they will release that best-of cd, but i don´t think it will be the major "Thing" if you know what i mean. Take care |

Yeah I don't think anything's really planned at all :) They oughta take that news story off the front page of QueenZone...I think that's the one Brian says he was totally misquoted in.... |

kingarthur wrote: yeah they're planning to let john deacon out of the basement and take over lead vocals for one show...Haha wouldn't that be something else! I would love a gig, it would be brilliant. Plus it would be another excuse for me to go back to London again! But I think we're saving to go to Florida next year so I'd have to beg really hard. |
