I was kinda wondering where to post this as this is sort of a request, but not really exactly, and it's official too... sort of...
At the Queenonline shop you can download the so-called 'Bohemian rhapsody' deluxe package, that is:
BoRap Studio Version audio + video
BoRap Hyde Park audio + video
BoRap Musical audio
My questions are:
- It states at Queenonline that the downloadable video's CANNOT be burned onto CD... Is this true? Because I would like to have the official BoRap Hyde Park video, but only if I can burn it onto a CD for my own use. I think it's ridiculous when you can't burn a video that you have downloaded legally!
So if you really can't burn the video onto CD, my second question is: Is there somebody who has the video in a format so that it CAN be burned onto CD?
- It also states at Queenonline that, if you burn downloaded tracks onto CD, you HAVE TO use Windows Media Player! Is this true too?
I ask because I would like to burn the tracks as a 'BoRap single' with both audio+video (like some official singles have a video as a bonus track). My Nero burner, which I normally use, has an option to burn such a mixed-mode-CD, but Windows Media Player DOESN'T, which sucks!
I've downloaded every single track and video from the QOL shop from the Q+PR tour, but the first thing I did was rip the DRM (digital rights management) from all tracks as I refuse to pay for something and then be told where I can play it.
I wont however share these files as they are official, I just want to be able to play them elsewhere myself much as you do and object to DRM on principal.
Suffice to say it IS possible, the audio tracks are insanely easy to strip the DRM off as long as you bought the tracks and have access to the licences. The video tracks are a lot harder to do and take a while with a few complex steps but also can be done. Search on Google for removing DRM if you want to do it. Sorry I wont tell you how but it is possible. Bear in mind that technically removing DRM is a little on the naughty side. ;o)
I absolutely agree with you about your opinion concerning DRM. If I know that a product has DRM, I won't buy it. I think people should boycott such products and stop the music industry from treating us as potential criminals rather than customers.
An item having DRM doesnt stop me buying it but thats only because I have the knowledge and ability to rip the DRM off. The day they start releasing stuff which is unrippable is the day I stop paying for downloads.
I should point out that the ONLY way I know of to rip DRM on video requires that you have the genuine licence too, which means you basically bought it. Once its ripped it can then be played on anything of course but until that point you need the licence including during the ripping process.
Again I'm not going to go into detail on a public forum but the info is out there if you really want to find it. ;o)
I want to download official BR video from Hyde park too so last week I sent them email because I´d like to pay it by other way. They did not write me back. It´s so sad.
