ugh I hate water,im doped up on vitamin C,I was told that helps but no results so far.Ah Jess,at least you know how I feel.I need my voice for next week,Im performin a play in front of 1300 people and the voice is essential!
These are things that work for me when I have a cold:
Fresh oranges/orange juice (vitamin C)
Hot tea with lemon and honey will make your throat feel better and help get your voice going again.
If you have a sore throat, gargle with warm salt water. Do NOT swallow/drink the warm salt water.
Try to rest your voice for a few days. If you have to speak, use a normal tone of voice as "whispering" just further irritates your sore throat/hoarse voice.
Eat some spicy food with fresh garlic, hot peppers, etc. (Thai, Chinese, Indian, etc.)
Have some of every Jewish mother's secret weapon against colds: chicken soup. It works. Any kind of chicken soup will do. I recommend something with a little spice/onion/garlic.
Take hot/steamy showers.
Drink lots of water/liquids, but stay away from alcohol for a few days. If you're under age, stay away from alcohol until you're legal.
Get some sleep. And plenty of it.
If you smoke, stop--at least for the next few days, and stay away from smoke as it irritates the respiratory system.
Sanitize your toothbrush.
Also, wash your hands with soap and hot water often so you don't spread the cold to anyone else.
I hope you are better soon. If you don't feel MUCH better in the next 2-3 days, see a doctor. You may have a sinus/respiratory infection that might need to be treated with antibiotics. If your doctor prescribes antibiotics, take all of them, ON SCHEDULE, even if you feel better after a few days.
Now, does anyone need any legal advice? Or perhaps a design for a space ship? ; )

Ah your brilliant,Ill definitely try them now!!!And as for the sex suggestion,we'll see xD
Are you sure it's a cold? You might have allergies. My allergies are sure kicking in. I heard on the news that Boston is currently the third worst city in the US for it. Not sure what other two are on the top of the list, but I think it's going to be a killer season everywhere this year.
You know what else works? It's disgusting but it works - gargle with vinegar. Seriously. The acidity will 'break up' the infection/irritation. You can water it down a bit if you need to, but it's better straight up.
Also - boil a pot of water and add (if you can find them) a couple of drops each - eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil and rosemary oil (health food stores should have these). Inhaling the vapors should ease much of your suffering - especially if you do it a couple of times a day.
Good luck and feel better!

Oh my gosh, I love vinegar. I'm weird but vinegar is my favorite condiment ever. I used to actually drink shots of it when I was little.
