Yes, Jim told Freddie... right after making the call to his doctor at Freddie's urging. And then Freddie said, "Those bastards." Don't know why but that part of Jim's book stayed in my mind. The rest didn't but that did...
Not true, something else from Jim's book stayed in my mind. And it still bugs me. He said that at Live Aid, when Freddie came off the stage, he said something like, "I'm glad that's over with." What's up with that? If - big IF - Freddie did say that, why would he? Any ideas?
