I'm in New York City. We have a recycling program where paper is in clear bags, cans/bottles in blue bags and regular trash in... whatever. Some cans/bottles have a nickel return deposit on them that the homeless (and others) collect from the garbage cans of other people. They return them to the stores and keep the change.
So... our interesting thing is that the majority of us put the return deposit cans/bottles in separate bags beside the trash can to make it easier (and neater) for those who collect them (so they don't have to rip open the sealed blue bags and rummage through them searching for deposit bottles).
Maybe this is done in other areas as well, but I think it's cool.
:-)
What's your area's interesting quality?

Sounds like a fabulous place to me. :)
Seriously, you don't know what you're talking about.
I know exactly what I'm talking about. I've lived in places where it's hot all year round, and I had to sleep with the air conditioner on in winter. A nice, cold place sounds great.
Well i come from Gourock, which really isn't that interesting a place, but Greenock, the town right beside me, and the place where i was born, has a couple of interesting facts:
1) It is the heart attack capital of the UK (which makes it the heart attack capital of Europe as well!)
2) James Watt was born there.
3)It is officially the rainiest place in the United Kingdom.

No but it's REALLY cold where I live. I mean REALLY, REALLY cold.
I live in fucking Sweden, Gothenburg, and I hate it!! No, actually, I live in a suburb outside of Gothenburg, which is even worse!! It's cold and small and I hate it.
Oh, yeah, it's like this. Everyone (okay 99% of the population) looks and acts the exact same way. Practically everybody are fucking racists and everyone has this: VOLVO, 2.6 children, Golden retriver, they work at Volvo, come home and go to bed around 8.30. I'm not kidding, it is like that. I HATE IT!
Jag hatar Sverige. :P

NYC: i just noticed today that people may say that New Yorkers arent friendly people but I found that NYers arent friendly outsiders. If you are nice and talk and joke around with anyone in NYC they will be so warm and friendly.
Carmel: I dont know it sucks up here

I second that.
The nice New Yorkers are actually the ones who don't sound like New Yorkers when you talk to them.
Well crap, I can't compete with NYC. I mean, I live in Oregon. You've never heard of Oregon? lol, I dont' blame you. It's on the west coast, north of California. There's like nothing here but nature. Lots of lakes, mountains, vallies, dunes, we have the ocean. Nothing really cool to speak of. Oh, well, if this counts, my high school had a school shooting a little over two months ago.. (luckily I didn't get shot..:-S)
London is interesting. Just saying/reading the word London makes you feel all like WOW awesome.
Freddie's house, the albert hall, Harrods, Hyde Park, Brian's house, the Queens palace... lots and lots of cool interesting places to see here.
