ChinesedogTorture wrote: I'm guessing they might have experienced at the time, but they were still straight.Disagree with both statements here. 1) I don't believe for a second that Roger, Brian, or John have had a cock in their ass or mouth. Freddie obviously had, and I don't have a problem with that...and I wouldn't care if they were all gay as hell, but I assure you, that the other 3 were all straight. 2) I really don't think you can experiment and still be straight. If your male buddy tells you he had a wild night last night....had sex with 4 little hotties, and then took it up the ass from a fat guy with a goatee.... Then guess what... your buddy is GAY. Not straight with "experimentation"... not "bi".... "Bi" is the definition for someone who is actually gay who still attempts relationships with members of the opposite sex, yet they are still humping members of their same sex...which makes them 100% gay. I don't care if you are a dude thats pounded 1,000 women... to me, if you suck one dick, or hump one guy... You are a homosexual that needs to come to terms with yourself. |

Oh come on, the one word the majority of people are missing is: 'I think' But instead you say: they/he 'was' blah blah. About Brian, Roger and John i think they were straight, but then theres a 'story' that Roger experimented. And about Freddie, i'm not sure how you "exactly" define his sexual orientation? But as somebody posted in another thread simmilar to this, they said, "Women for love and men for sex" And in my opinion, thats very well said. But then whats the point of this thread? Is that going to make you change the way you look at the band? I know it isn't going change the way i look at their music. |

I don't know the answer and if I found out, I would ponder on it for maybe even a full minute on a boring day. I won't deny the socially driven mystique about taboo goosip like that of homosexuality. But I am a hell of a lot more interested in my own fascination with them when I hear things like Brian being an ex-Star Wars fanatic and collector. In comparison, they are just as useless as the other in information to me in any truly important way. I will admit, my only curious thought about homosexual men is my observation that, coincidence or not, I seem to have a personal label that gays, especially men, seem too be unusually brilliant musicians. Freddie is the obvious thought, but even now days I found myself putting Rufus Wainright at the top of the today list of musicians, and found out after that he is more flaming than even Freddie. My friend Dale made an imature/dumbass jab at me when Freddie was belting out Cool Cat(I think) calling me nuts over Freddie and gay. My personaly amusing retort was, "I don't have a gay bone in my body, except for my Eardrums and they are apparently each of them, flaming homosexuals. Gay culture made a leap in the 90's in terms of awareness, acceptance and cultural influence. I am not sure what changed it all, surely many things, but I had to grow up a long time ago whith my own stupidity when I fell crazy over Freddie's music. So way later, were any others gay? If someone answered yes or no on this board, would you feel satisfied? I would just by them answering one way or the other, automatically suspect that they are full of shit. Maybe this long post didn't answer your question, but, and I mean no offense, it's a stupid question. Not just because the answer is unimportant, but more because anyone who gave a straight up answer would likely be suspect at best. A better question would be way more personal, and would be something like, "Reflecting back, how do you think your personal relationships affected your career, for good and for bad?" I always heard Yoko Ono tore apart the Lennon/McCartney dynamic. Did any of Queen's romances inspire any songs they wrote or any other important emotional impacts? I always heard Love of my Life was about Mary Austin, but since it was always 2nd hand gossip, and not from Mary or the band members themselves, who knows for sure. Last thing, I swear is that at least Brian did make me thankful for the effects of alcohol when he said he was smashed on one of his rare drinking binges when he gave birth to the riff/idea that would become Dragon Attack. |

Wow, there's a lot of ignorance here. Bisexuals exist. We're real. We're not homosexuals who just can't give up the opposite sex, or straight people who dabble. We're attracted, equally or unequally, to members of both sexes. Often there's social pressure on bisexuals to pick one or the other, and they may behave as though they're either completely gay or straight, but they're still bisexual. How do I know? I'm a bisexual woman, and have been all my life. I'm attracted to people, not to plumbing. For those who are spouting ignorance, I'd encourage you to look at Alfred Kinsey's research on the topic-- in particular, read about the Kinsey scale. He describes sexual orientation on a scale, where 0 is exclusively heterosexual, and 6 is exclusively homosexual. Anything 1-5 is bisexual to some degree or other. Based on what I know of Freddie's life (and sadly, I never met him, so like the rest of you I'm operating on hearsay), I'd guess that he was about a Kinsey 4-5-- bisexual, but leaning somewhat heavily toward men. |

We have a GSA at our school... the people were having a moment of remembrance for some anniversarry of a dead gay person or something... This kid I knew broke it up by starting to sing the German national anthem. |
