I saw Elvis Costello live last year and he was AWESOME! He really was amazing, and he had so much energy. He kept going for hours and hours. I loved it.
Dream Theater
Every time they play 3 hours. They change the set list frequently- when I saw them playing two night in row in london's Hammersmith they in 6 hours repeated ONLY ONE SONG!!!
That's what I call value for money...
Apart from them I guess Metallica LIVE is still above most of the bands... System of a Down rocks big time...
Muse are explosive... Even though I'm not the biggest fan of their music...
Razorlight were one of the biggest surprises for me- I pretty much hate most of the new British bands, but they were EXCELLENT live... So were Keiser Chiefs... Even though I really didn't like the album...
I guess Green Day is worth mentioning...
Queensryche is playing both parts of the OPERATION MINDCRIME nowadays, so it's SOMETHING worth seeing apparently...
Pearl Jam- brilliant live band...
Q+PR of course... ;)
I'm more than looking forward to see Chili Peppers and Muse this year.
They might perhaps end up on the top of my list.
The worst live band I've seen is Fleetwood Mac.
I only went to their show because my girlfriend really likes them, and although I like some of their songs they're a bore live.
The only band that i've seen on stage is a chileand band called Los Jaivas... they all are men like 60 years old (the drummer, she is daughter of the original drummer, who died in 1988). They all run, jump all over the stage... oh, it was wonderful.
Iron Maiden
Bruce Dickinson is a excellent performer. Lots of interactions with the crowd. Apart from that, they have an impressive stage, changing per tour.
Lots of show, excellent lighting etc. and great music. That's what defines a good live show for me :)
Pink Floyd, saw 'em in 1994, amazin sound, production, jesus! a fantastic trip!
Rolling Stones, honestly, they're old but they still rock!!
Oasis 1998, at that time Liam still has a fantastic voice, a good sound, what a great band Oasis was, and stil is :=)
Status Quo were fantastic when I went to see them last November. To date, they are my only concert but other fantastic live bands include:
Queen (of course)
The Who
Deep Purple
Pink Floyd
