I LOOOOOOVE this video.... My favorite part is when their all hanging in this locker room looking thing, I cant figure what it is, can someone help me, I have no idea what it is...its during the part where they say the first: Hoop ditty ditty, Hoop ditty do!!! |
SomebodyWhoLoves 19.04.2006 03:15 |
Shelves? That part I thought looked like 4 coffins stacked on top of each other. I think they all knew that Freddie would die soon, so that scene is a little morbid to me. |

No, not literal coffins. They were shelves. But figuratively, it was like 4 coffins signifying the death of Queen. The entire album Innuendo is about saying goodbye, and death, and finale. |

This is the Metropolis studios in London, where the album was recorded and the video was shot. It used to be part of the fan club tour of London, and you could go in and get your photos took, I seem to remember some in the fan club magazine. |
Sunshine 19.04.2006 11:35 |
Huh...really? I dont really think they knew when Fred was gonna pass away?Of course...Brian, Roger and John knew it since The Miracle because Freddie didnt want to tour, Brian also said it was one of the reason that he got very depressed (also his ended marriage of course) during the late eighties... |

Yeah, I think they were shelves. I haven't seen that video in so long. I'll have to break out my DVD's. |

Does anybody have any idea how they got on those shelves because I was watching some video I think and the crew members were standing straight and the band were really lying horizontally. |

In fact, they probably knew of Freddie's disease on the Miracle album. Now, whether or not that scene was supposed to have symbolic meaning or not is debatable. To me, it looks like 4 coffins stacked on top of one another, symbolizing the death of Queen. |

yes, the song is written by Brian and Innuendo is not all about saying goodbye. These Are The Days en The Show Must Go On are, the rest isnt I think. 100% sure that the band knew about Freddie's illness during The Miracle. By the way, at the time they recorded this Headlong video, in dec 1990, they already recorded the whole Innuendo album. When you read the stories of Brian on his soapbox last month about recording The Show Must Go On, they knew that Freddie was in a terrible shape. link A very impressive story... I always get sad about Freddie dealt with the situation. In these days its possible to stay alive with HIV and i wished that he was here so much... |

If you can get John Edwards to contact Freddie he'll probably tell you how ridiculous that is. |

Dear Leah: If you read my original question "I have never seen this video. What DVD is it on?" you will see that the answer I got was the reply from Jellybean giving the link to YouTube. No one said it was available on DVD. No, I am not too cheap to buy it!!! I have no idea what to buy. Don't insinuate I'm cheap, you didn't even read what I asked. So, back to the original question, what DVD is this on? |

fredrogbrijohn wrote: So, back to the original question, what DVD is this on?I'm not sure what DVD it's on, but for the youtube thing to work - with whatever video you choose to watch - you should let it load first. That might take several minutes. Wait until the light gray bar reaches at least 3/4 of the way through before hitting 'play'. That should prevent the starts and stops you mentioned. |
