OK, this might sound kind of stupid, but I was in computing today and we were using this music editing software, and it was really good. My teacher said it was available to download for free and I wanna do it, but I've forgotten what it was called. I'm pretty sure it begins with an 'A', but I could be wrong. Does anyone know of one that it could be? I tried Googling it, but when you can't remember the name it's kinda tricky. Any help would be much appreciated.
Yeah, it's my Computing teacher actually, if you read my post, but, yeah, good point, I could just do that. Although I wanted to mix some Queen tracks for you.
Musicman's probably right; I think it is Audacity.
Adobe Audition isn't free (unless you, well, have your ways, as I have mine).
The only other 'A' one I know is Audacity, which is pretty good for basic audio editing. It doesn't go too deep, but I use it a lot when I need to touch up or cut-and-paste.

Best $350 I ever saved. ;)

I don't know. I preferred Cool Edit Pro. Don't think selling out to Adobe did the program any good.
