In the spirit of all the "These Are The Days Of Our Lives" duets here in this forum, i thought it would be fun to try this.
taylorgaga mentioned this in one of the threads for the TATDOOL duets.

Sounds like a good challenge. So I did just that.
I used Roger's vocals from ROTC and paired them with the vocals from the studio version of Radio Ga Ga, and came up with this, my very first pubically-shared fan mix: link
I understand it's pretty crudely put together, a few volume issues here and there, etc. But it's my first try; give me a break :p
Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
You're right about the volume differences, and it sounded like you've played the two version at the same time.
Because of that the volume is way too high and you're getting a 'phasing' effect.
I like the way you do the shifting between Fred and Roger with the vocals.
certainly not a bad attempt :)
Thanks. I pretty much hoped someone would say that :)
But yeah, i did notice the 'phasing', gotta work on that. The interesting thing is, when they perform it live, they have a backing track very similar to the studio version, so syncing the drums is really no problem.
My problem was isolating the live vocals from the live instruments, that was one of my biggest hurdles to jump. I also liked how I added Danny's bass before the second verse (after the chorus)
I agree with you. Not great, but a good effort. Can't wait to get back on it later today (i'm at school right now)
You know what? I may want to try it again.
This was a good effort, but I think it requires a different approach in order to balance it out. At least this shows me that it didn't completely suck lol
This time I might see if the 5.1 mix from the ROTC DVD will give me better results. It should work pretty well in the end.
I will have it done either today or tomorrow, so you won't have to wait too long for it :p
