I assume by "Red House" it means the blues tune that Jimi Hendrix made famous.
Wondering if anyone heard it and can share the account, or even has a recording!
Daniel:
It was fantastic! Just down and dirty blues, and they were ALL over it. Particular standouts were Paul's voice, he just NAILED it--and Brian's guitar was so juke joint. You could feel the humidity of the Delta. Brilliant addition to the show, another was Pete, in a slinky little black dress and pink feather boa, delivering the RS to Brian out on the catwalk. Brian almost needed to sit back down after that! Yo Pete! Nice legs baybee!
I was tickled pink when I heard them do it at the sound check (while waiting outside in the cold :-P) and just thrilled when they played it live! It was great.
Man, I with I was there. I personally think this kind of stuff could have gone the whole tour, but man, I'm glad they did it at some point!
Thanks for sharing!!!!!
AMEN! I still say San Diego was the best concert of the tour, including my 3 shows(Birmingham NEC, Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl, and Sand Diego Cox Arena), and the 10+ bootlegs i have heard, and the ROTC DVD.
I wanted something new, and this "Red House" song would have been nice to have heard, but I have ZERO other complaints about the San Diego show!
And now for the important question....
DOES ANYONE HAVE A RECORDING OF THE VANCOUVER SHOW?
