THE HUB? Definitely.
eBAY? NO!!!!
Well, happy downloading! Say thank you!
Nice idea but I'm not a big fan of mixing bootlegs like this. Normally ends up that someone will trade it as a full concert to some unknowing soul under the name of Houston 77 or Earls C 77, who then trades it again, etc... Then you have x-amount of a fake concert being traded around. Still each to their own.
Live Killers COULD be created. There is many footage out there which could be used. If the film has poor sound, a soundboard (or good audience) source could be dubbed. But this takes work and dedication...
Maybe Smitty is our man to do such thing ;-)
BTW, I could help with the stuff from my small collection if needed!
Why not create a project for Queen DVD productions with bootleg footage (or old broadcasts) ala Harvested (Pink Floyd) or Genesis Museum?
If this must be traded, then it should have the label of "Houston/Earls Court 77 compilation". Writing "unknown 1977" may imply that it is a new concert, and writing "Houston/EC 77" implies that it's the Houston and Earls Court concerts each in their entirety.
many thanks for the gifts...
I wont download this one thought. In my humble opinion, I do not enjoy "mixed bootlegs" at all. A bootleg is a moment stolen back from the past and enjoyed by us, true fans who for a reason were unable to be there. On a bootleg, you can get a feel of how the band was doing in that particular moment. You close your eyes and transport yourself into that venue, and imagine yourself surrounded by lots of fans and enjoying a full Queen concert.
I just feel that a "mixed bootleg" kills all of that. It's just a fake or artificial night.
But Hey, that's me. I just wanted to express my opinion on that.
thanks again to you and all the cool sharing hearts, without you guys, I would've never had access to lots of material.
Thanks very much to Smitty for this, and to the others who are seeding. I am new here and I just jumped on this one. I will seed for as long as I can (though my uploads will unfortunately be rather slow, I'm on DSL and have very limited outbound throughput).
