I freely admit to buying Stone Cold Classics. You can look at it two ways: a) I did it because I'm a collector, and b) I did it for you guys, so you could decide whether you really want/need it.
Run time: 59 minutes, 12 seconds.
Sleeve details: back inner sleeve is black with a tiny red post-1991 Queen crest in the centre. Inside, a simple, single folded sleeve with cropped Innuendo band photo, cropped QUEEN 1 (Radio Ga Ga) single photo and a photo of Paul, Brian and Roger mid-concert. Below the pics are the track details. For example:
5. Crazy Little Thing Called Love
(Mercury)
Produced by Queen and Mack
Taken from "The Game"
No other liner notes, mostly white text on black.
The tracks sound like they're from the latest batch of remasters and sound crisp and clean. All tracks are the album versions except:
Tie Your Mother Down (Single Version)
Fat Bottomed Girls (Single Edit)
I Want It All (Queen Rocks Version)
All Right Now (Live - Stone Cold Version)*
Feel Like Makin' Love (Live - Stone Cold Version)*
* These two are from Return Of The Champions, but fade out nicely, unlike the original versions, which are sequed with crowd noise from track to track. Technically, that makes them different, though the song content is untouched.
There you go, anyone curious if they ought to pick this up. I hope it helps.
No sweat, Nancy.
You dissin' mah jewelery ... I pitty da foo' who disses mah jewlery.
And besides...they match my rat-drawn shoes and stetson hat. Any good jewelery wearin' tree hugger adopts this as their uniform...
Unlike pillow-biters like yourself who lack toes and tolerance to milk beverages...I'm surprised you know how to untie a coat-hanger.
Don't feel too bad, I bought it too. Was hoping the remastering of some of the songs that weren't on the re-vamped GH disc would be better though.
Shoulda just sent Brian a check for my ten bucks.
