And this subject is obviously coming from some idiot who has not gone to see the shows...the only reason they are doing the AI thing is for publicity...what the fuck do you think they did on Top of the Pops in Britain back in the 70's dumbass?? Even Roger said it was a crap show, but it got them on TV and gave them publicity. That's what they're doing now. They're musicians, and they have just as much right to use the Queen name as any one of them in the band. If you don't support what the band is doing, then go quietly in the night and leave these boards for people who DO support the band in their efforts. It's people like you who make Queen not want to tour again, dammit!

No, it's strictly for 'cool' people.

Newsflash: they did. It's called Queen + Paul Rodgers. Brian founded the band, Roger was there before Freddie, I think they are entitled to the name.

mike hunt wrote: I don't know why they couldn't just start a new band, like slash did with velvet revolver. Brian say "we don't want to live in the past" that's bull, that's exactly what their doing. I despise AI, and now queen are performing on this horrible show.

Kelley_FloridlyAudacious wrote: Well, I went to the "Queen + Paul Rodgers" concert. I call it "1/2 of Queen and Paul Rodgers". No, the concert wasn't "Queen". But I'm very glad they did it, and are doing it. I am but a teen-ager and I never got the CHANCE to see the whole band together. Well, maybe that's all what my "terrible-twos" were about. The fact that I went to Auburn Hills and got to actually hear and look at Brian May and Roger Taylor meant a hell of a lot to me. I thought the way they honoured Freddie had a lot of class. It didn't feel like they were using him, nor ignoring him. I'm fairly certain that they've talked to John Deacon and they all seem happy with what they're doing. I respect both their choices.

SaveMe09 wrote: Queen Plus Paul Rodgers...it is what it is...People have got to stop comparing him to Freddie, he is who he is and does a pretty damn good job....I would have loved to see the band with Freddie but since they didn't tour in the states after 81, that wasnt going to happen. I will take what I can get, and what I got was the 4 most amazing rock concerts I have ever been to....Thanks to Paul Rodgers I got to see what I never thought that I would and it was wonderful. Queen is not a joke, they are one of the greatest rock bands to walk the face of the planet with or w/o Freddie....most of all the return of Queen has made a lot of people very happy and that is a great thing.

mike hunt wrote: After such crap like the musical and ruining we are the champions with robbie, queen have officially become a joke. The news that queen have decided to perform on AI is the last straw for this queen fan, I no longer will support these two old geezers. John Deacon is easily the smartest of the surviving members, Thank you john, thank you for keeping it real!...Freddie is turning in his grave!

That's enough for me. I would rather have 50% of Queen then 0% thank you very much!

The Millionaire Waltz wrote: I bet that's what you'd like to think, isn't it, emo kid? But really, what have you got against older people? Perhaps you were molested by a 50 year old truck driver as a child? Why don't you shove that negative attitude of yours where it belongs? A very dark and smelly place, full of green little germs. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. Your father, Fred Astaire and that 50 year old truck driver have probably been in there more often than what would be considered healthy.
