Hi guys, could any of you tell me about the DVD? I'm curious if 'the making of' ANATO is worth the money..
I was a little disappointed with the ANATO 30th anniversary ed, but wondering if this one is actually worth it?
Thanks
I think it has a lot of great information. It shows Roy Thomas Baker working with all the layered vocals and such. They talk about how they get certain effects in certain songs and where they came from. You also get to see Brian do a couple performances of a couple songs.
So i'd say yes...definately get it
Cheers
Sounds interesting, thanks!
But is this DVD mostly the recent footage? I was wondering if it actually goes back into 1975 with some neat old footage, maybe some of Freddie...but i guess not?

Just be sure and go to the extras menus. The documentary itself is a dissapointment, leaving out most of what I was interested in. The extras are cuts dropped from the documentary which contain most of what I was interested in.
A very cool item, definitely worth getting.

I agree, i just got it and i thought the documentary was a bit boring, most of the stuff that they talked about i already knew.
But the extras are good, i enjoyed the Japan footage, but it was way too short! :( Also the Hyde Park footage was great, so i guess the DVD was OK.
But instead of releasing this documentary, they should have released the Hyde Park concert or some other early concert :D ...Pshh yeah, like thats ever going to happen, i should stop dreaming!
It's very good; my parents bought it for me yesterday! It has Roger, Brian, and Roy Thomas Baker interviews as well as two guys from Mott the Hoople and Aerosmith. Also has footage and special features. Definitely worth buying!
