Hello everyone,
I've spent the last few days researching the origins of the Queen logo, and I've managed to find a fair bit of information on it.
There's still one question I haven't managed to find an answer to: which logo is the official one?
On Wikipedia, this logo is used: link
But it doesn't say whether it's official or not.
The Freddie Mercury Phoenix Trust website uses a simplified version of that design on link so I think it might be official.
Then, there is the reworked logo which was used on the A Night At The Opera LP, and then there are the simple logo's which appear on Taylors bass drums... while they are official, I don't think they are the band's main logo.
Does anyone know the answer?
Thanks very much,
Kris
Well, the original is the one that appears in Queen II. They have used various logos, but the official one is generally accepted as being the one in the first link you posted, as well as the one on GH2.

Hi Munchsack, are you talking about this logo?

Does anyone know of a high resolution version of this logo?

Do you know which one was originally done by Freddie? Did Freddie design this exact one: link
Or is there a version which he actually did himself?
Thank you for any help you can give, I really appreciate it.

Freddie did the ANATO one? Based on what?
Fuck me some people will say anything to see their name on the internet.
Freddie did the Queen II logo. And no others. Ever.
