Please, if someone can get me one I will send you the money plus a little extra.. I want one..
I could have gotten one on Ebay already, and trust me if I get no help then Ebay will be my next choice, I WILL NOT pay QOL a dime for that stuff... they are charging a mint for shipping.. its just a freakin coin, its not going to cost a lot to ship.. I would rather give my money to someone else than them.. megamike@megamike.net
thanks.
Still.. thats kinda pricey to pay, and besides, I was just there today and they don't even have it, so I started to get a little nervous, but then as usual, Someone came through for me and I am going to get one afterall..
thanks mystery person.. :) (no, its not Brian May, but close) ok.. so its not even close.. but I will not disclose who it is saving them from a barrage of "Can you help me get one too" requests.. :)
Hi Mike!
I'm already going to get a sixpence for another poster on this board, so if you want, I can certainly also try and pick up one for you as well.

Thanks man, but I was able to secure one... I really appreciate the response I got from this. :)
From what I saw in Toronto - they were $15 ... this doesn't mean the price will be the same in Vancouver, as I heard different venue's were charging different prices for things (i.e. programs)
I sent Pieter up to the merchandise stand, cause I didn't wanna deal with the crowd. If I'd gone up there myself, I would've bought one. I think they were $10 in the U.S.
Hey Erin, do you think it would be an OK idea for me to buy some sixpences (as much as I could afford), and offer them here or on eBay for slightly less than face value, for people who couldn't or weren't able to get these coins at the shows?
Erin wrote: Hmm...not sure if I would do that. You might get stuck with them. If I got you to pick me up one, how would you want to get the money for it?
What I could get you to do, as I did with Mr. Lee, is get you to send $20 by PayPal (to cover sixpence and postage costs), by at the very latest by Friday, so that I can have 2 business days to deposit into my bank account. (Reason being is that I will be leaving Edmonton on Tuesday night next week, so I want to try and withdraw the cash at an ATM before or after I arrive in Vancouver)
When I get to the concert with the cash in my wallet, I will head over to the market stand and ask them upfront if they have the tour sixpences.
If they do, I will get the sixpences for whoever I'm getting them for (I might get one or two for myself, depending how much spending money I get next week)
*IF* they don't have the sixpences, then I will refund the money plain and simple once I get back to Edmonton on Saturday the 15th (which is the day of my 20th birthday btw.).
Does that sound alright?
ED: I just realized the possibility that you might not have PP. If you want to pay me with a Postal or Bank Money Order, e-mail me and let me know.
I'll be at Vancouver and I'll surely buy two or three sixpences for my friends - I can buy another couple if anyone is interested.
I live in Italy, so the postage to anywhere in Europe should be reasonably low. Please let me know.
1) A British coin that was legal currency until it was discontinued in 1973. It would be equal to around 10 cents US in value or more, if it were still in circulation
2) The choice of plectrums (or "guitar picks") that Brian prefers to use when playing guitars, since their edges (which are similar to a Canadian dime's if I may say so) give a raspy sound when plucked against the strings
Anyone want a Canadian dime ?
I have tons of them - I'll only charge $10 a dime - alot better price than the sixpence coins, and they can be used in the same way :)
Great price!
Lemme know :)
