I know I asked that before - some might even remember that question before I deleted my posts.
I am doing a paper on South American daemons (different from deamons who are evil creatures, these ones are creatures on a intermediary state between human and gods) and I am not sure where to start looking. I have two names from Argentina, el Pombero and el Lobizon, but from that I dunno others, or where to go on looking...
I wanna do something more or less general (as in trying to cover all the area and have more or like airplane view of the whole folkloric tradition of South America.
Thank you in advance,
Sonia
P.S. Alex told me about el pombero and el lobizon. I want more, more, more! Alex (some more details? xD), Mari, Rafraf, Mex, etc!!!!! Please help me! *puppy look*
If we are talking about demons, in Chile i can name a few, like:
1. Augusto Pinochet (the worst)
2. Sergio Onofre Jarpa.
3. Sergio Fernández.
4. Alberto Cardemil.
5. Manuel "Mamo" Contreras.
6. Álvaro Corbalán.
7. Joaquín Lavín.
8. Pablo Longueira.
9. Jovino Novoa.
10. Iván Moreira.
I can name more, but with those 10 is enough, right?
Chavez is so obsessed with pissing off Bush that he became buddies with Saddam Hussein.
In similar circumstances Reagan was so obsessed with pissing the Ayatollah Khomeini, that he became buddies with Saddam Hussein.
There's nothing wrong with being part of the left as long as you're moderate.
Chile and Uruguay have moderate leftist presidents and they don't go around kissing Chavez' ass like the president of Bolivia does.

He's right about that. I recommend to Caspar to read more about the political and economical sitoation of the latin american countries.
Caspar: Don't make Chávez, Castro or Morales blind to you... you have read more.
I'm left, but not like those three stooges, i'm more like Tabaré Vásquez and Michelle Bachelet, specially this last one... and Ricardo Lagos, when he was president of my country.
I don't live in Cuba, Venezuela or Bolivia, but at least Mari lives in Venezuela, and she can tell you how is the situation on that country.
Aside from that Chavez is spending money on weapons with the excuse of "protecting the country from possible invaders".
Meanwhile there are still a lot of poor people in Venezuela waiting for the help Chavez promised to give them.
