I was just thinking... Do you guys think that his career (with and apart from Queen) would have flourished, or diminished..do you guys think that he might have gotten acting roles in movies, more solo projects, producing other artist, may have even have gotten married to his partner the way that Elton John just did? Do you guys think that Freddie would be still touring with Queen the way Mick Jagger is still touring with the stones now? discuss.... |

I would be happy Freddie just being alive and healthy but if he was still alive my guess is he would be still making music and touring. Music was his passion they all enjoy it, so why not. |

Music was his passion they all enjoy it, so why not.I agree with you... I know me personally, (and I know people say this all the time, but I'm telling the truth) I could seriously care less about money and fame, if anything, I heard that brings more stress in your life...as long as I'm alive, healthy, have somewhat of a fullfilling career in whatever I'm doing, and I'm loved and cared for, thats all that matters to me... I dont know how the members, especially Freddie, could have handled the stress of traveling all the time, touring, recording, etc(I get homesick very easily)...I give them props...I know me, I'm a pretty shy person...I like my privacy...I couldnt handle anyone being all up in face, taking pictures...trying to get all in my business... that would drive me crazy!!! Then the toll it can take on your relationships w/Family, spouses, etc... |

Freddie would be the producer of the band 'the darkness' lol!... Freddie thought old people performing on stage was rediculous. He'd be a song writer and a producer if he was alive nowadays. |

I dont think they would tour and make albums one after the other, i think they would take breaks maybe long breaks like 2-3 years. I wonder to if they would each go and make another solo album even while being in Queen. |

In I think a 1986 interview from the Greatest Hits DVD, he said he'd produce music or something like that when he gets older. |

if freddie was alive: -queenzone and another milion web sites, freddie related would not exist. -a lot of queen fans would have seen queen as "we are the champions" and "show must go on" and nothing more...freddie would have been that "fag" ( :/ ) from that queen band and nothing more. - freddie was not a legend ( the fact that he died so tragic and fighting to the end, refusing to give up and pull out 2(3) brilliant albums made him immortal- remember after his death how many fans appear ...as mushrooms after the rain) etc etc |

There's two ways to look at it; 1) If he never took ill, and kept living a hedonistic lifestyle he probably would have ended up a shadow of his former self. His song writing would of continued to suffer, but his stage presence would've been great as always-even as his vocals deteriorated. (I always wondered if that was why he ended up settling down with Jim Hutton-because of his illness). I thought his singing and song writing improved on Miracle, Innuendo and Heaven, after he stopped drugs. 2) If he was ill, but healthy enough (i.e. Magic Johnson), I'm sure he would have been happy to record, produce etc., just not tour. Also, I agree that he would not want to be sixty and "throwing his carcass around"-but I bet he would still get the itch from time to time to get out there and hold court to a mass of loyal punters-it was a part of him as essentail as oxygen. |

It would be really great if this generation was able to be exposed to Freddie's voice and talent.

He would have his own James Bond like series "Name's Mercury love, Freddie Mercury" or "Freddie Mercury, musical prostitute at your service!" I dont think a pen shaped gun would suit him. More like a microphone stand that folds into a rifle. |
wembley86 01.04.2006 00:28 |
i think freddie wouldve done some writing for broadway musicals, like he did with time. and i think disney wouldve ask him like elton john to sing and write songs for there amimated movies. he wouldve recieved an oscar for it too, just like elton did for lion king. and he wouldve sang at the princess di tribute too. i wouldve seen it. i dont think you wouldve toured that much. his homosexuality wouldve not been a big deal considering these days it is not as conserval as it was back then. if he wouldve never had AIDS i think he would be part of the fight against it. him and jim probably wouldve gotten married and raised some cats and grow a beutiful garden in his home and he wouldve bought a house in japan too since he loved it there. and i think he wouldve celebrated his 60th with a big big party, with lots of drag queens. and lots of liquer. could you just see it. one last thing he would of made a tribute to the people who lost there lives at the world trade center. he probably wouldve sang IS THIS THE WORLD WE CREATED. i'm just taking a guess. i miss freddie and thougth about this alot. so good topic. |

Freddie's angels? Would Freddie examine us like in that one movie? Erm...Except it was woman examining the girls. But yeah, we'd be naked, and Freddie would be like, "Open your towel!" QOW as Bosley, hahaha |

I don't think he'd be doing as much music as in the old days. Didn't Freddie say something about that he would look ridiculous jumping around on stage as a 50 year-old? |
