I have posted this before .I know its not everyones fave but i bought a copy of Rare Live but its in Pal format which i dont have.Does anyone want mine? will send free of charge to you.John
There are a few decent moments on Rare Live... like, the end credits. Plenty of mistakes to laugh at.
Nah, seriously... the only really nice bit on there is Killer Queen from London 6-7-77. It's my favourite live version of the song.
I used to really enjoy this video collection and thought there were some real gems on it, although now that I have found copies of the entire shows that some of these performances came from I really don't have so much of an interest in this one anymore.
some of my favorite bits are
My Melancholy Blues / Sheer Heart Attack...Houston 77
Killer Queen / You Take My Breath Away...Earls Court 77
Stone Cold Crazy...the Rainbow, London 74
Somebody to Love - Milton Keynes 82
is this actually considered an official release? I always assumed it was not but recently have read differently. I've never seen it at any retail shops, just the places that sell bootlegs and imports. Actually I've only seen it for sale once....and that was the time that I bought it.

It's definitely an official release - I bought it in the Walsall Virgin Megastore about 7 years ago. I was so chuffed to get it, then I watched it and took it back to exchange for a propellorheads album!
it was definitely worth the $10 I paid for it. It could have had been a bit longer with a few more songs in the mix and perhaps it could have had a little more thought put into the song selection but I still can't see why this video would be so hated by some. Oh well, I enjoyed it for what it was.
