Myself and and wife will be there-Question is -where is everybody staying? I know that alot of rooms are booked for that weekend-Suggest a good centreal location on the Strip-maybe even in the MGM but that place is always packed.
I would LOVE to meet Queenzoners! This place Richard set up for us is like home to me. :)
I am scheduled to arrive the very day of the gig at 5:14pm and staying at the Best Western which claims to be 1 mile away from the MGM.
I can only meet after the GIG, where would that be?
Once I'm there I'll tell you the "mission impossible" style of this trip, to see the gig of my lifetime. :)
Cheers,

Weather permitting-between the Imperial Palace and Harrah's there is a outdoor bar and directly behind there is a concert stage and there are usually some pretty good bands there playing until 3 AM. Most of the bands play cover tunes and I am sure that with Queen being in town several will try their hands at few Queen tunes. There is always plenty of space there. Its pretty easy to find also-bit of walk from the MGM, but the Vegas monorail runs from the MGM and does stop at the Imperial Palace-There are several places along the Strip this just being one. It is kind of a central location. If anyone out there lives in Vegas and knows of good spot hopefully they will have some suggestions. I am curious just to how many people are traveling a long distance because the show is in Vegas-I am arriving the day of the show as well. Travelling from North Carolina.
The official name of the outdoor pavilion area between Harrah's and Imperial Palace is Harrah's Caranival Court. The Vegas monorail would run $5 from the MGM to the Imperial Palace/Harrah's stop. Monorail runs from 7Am til 3Am on weekends.
Gonna be in Vegas for four nights. Would love to meet some fellow Queenzoners. This will be my second time getting to see Queen. When I was 14 got to see them 1980 in Greensboro NC. I had third row seats then-not quite as fortunate this time.
I am more than willing to meet you in this bar or any other you designate.
I'll be in Vegas only on the night of the gig. I leave the following night.

Hi Richard, Lisa here from the San Diego pre show at Effins. (blonde in the Queen crest shirt)
I'll be at Vegas too, and the Imperial Palace is my second home when I'm there (though I'm not staying there). I know that Carnival Court bar very well... It will probably charge a cover to get into, since it's a Saturday night and it's incredibly LOUD, and plays a weird mix of stuff like Def Lep to Usher to GNR to Snoop Dogg. It's not condusive to any conversation really and it's likely to be packed, but it's an option. There's a big bar inside the Imperial Palace on the right when you walk in as a second option. It's a lower end casino but very lively.
You guys let me know where the final decision to meet is. I'll be at the MGM before the show, but will end up at the Imperial Palace since I have friends that work there that I want to see. They might be able to play Queen in the blackjack pit if I ask! :)
Hi Richard,
If it's pre-show, I definitely suggest MGM somewhere, so we're close to the concert, of course. I am not overly familiar with MGM, but I am sure there's a bar close to the entrance to the show we could meet at.
As for post show, it depends where people are staying and how far they want to go. Imperial Palace is on the other end of the strip. We could all stay at MGM and meet up before and after in the same place?
Let's see what others have to say. :)
I asked about a place to meet on a Las Vegas community and this was the response:
I think it's called Zubu? To the right of the lobby/front desk. Quiet but
well-sized, it has a lower level with sofas and small tables, very comfy!
What do you all think? If it's called Zubu (or something with a Z) near the front desk, it should be easy to find.
Hangover, oh yeah :)
The gig was very good. From Under Pressure to the end it was fantastic. No surprises in the set list. Great playing. The house was 80 to 90 percent full in my opinion. Security was really active, not letting us out of our original areas, so I was grounded to my "sort of far seats", even if they were in the floor area.
After the show some people met at one of the bars and we had a great time.
I'm sorry if I don't write more now, I am leaving Vegas today and have to look around a bit :)

ElleInnuendo, wasn't it an "x"? :D
CrazyLittleThing, nice meeting you too, and I mean it! Your eyes had that bright look a real Queen fan has after a gig ;)
And THANK YOU for the info about the bar where to party afterwards. I was so lucky as to meet wonderful people. As a bonus we got to take pictures with Spike :D
Cheers,
