Just joined...and just found a very sad thing...

This young lady, Michelle, that died so tragically young... A dedicated website...so many pictures...what a fan. She has one post left on this site. Just one. Her email is still listed. It's like a friend of mine who died a year or two ago. I've never brought myself to delete his mobile number from my cell-phone. It's like a wee last link. You know if you ring it there will be no answer. But still. You keep it. Hope we all take a few seconds later this year to remember. Even those of us who didn't know her. Anyway, it's 3:30 in the morning. Suppose these things take on a different light when you're this tired. Thanks for stopping by. Promise to post something a little less maudlin when it's daylight. |

How quickly a thread can go from ambiguous and unexplanative to a cheap shot on the United States... |

I am tired of the negative comments about the US on here. It's getting old. |

I'd happily throw away my "Making-Fun-of-America" hat if people wouldn't be so prickly about Australia. (Seriously, there's someone on this forum, can't remember who, they seem to think that the entire country is represented by those few idiots who told Queen to get off the stage in 1974... fucking hell). |

What do the British think of Irish? |
| Brandon 28.03.2006 20:13 |
Mmmm, the Irish accent is sooooo gorgeous. Oh, and cheapshots at the states I could care less about. On my excursion across the pond, there was an unending barrage of attacks and cheap shots aimed at everyone and every continent and the laughter never stopped. Ahhhh, the memories. |

queen4ever2 wrote: it's way past humor now.Hahahah... that's pisspoor. When you lose the ability to laugh at something then it's just plain unfortunate. "Because these "jokes" are becoming the "truth" in the eyes of many people, due to their constant reiterations. You know, a lie told often enough becomes the truth." Nah, it just enters the common perception as 'truth'. Believe whatever the hell you want to believe. Oh well. |

Anything else about your post I really don't understand...so you'll have to explain it... |

Ireland would make a lovely 51st state. Followed by Puerto Rico, Mexico and Cuba. |

I defer to the answer given by my British/Irish Colleague some time ago. Cuba, eh? You lot never really got over that particular prickly issue, did you? It must be like...a Vietnam, without actually directly killing anyone... |
