I dunno if there are any Blondie fans here who might shed some light on this, but its something I was curious about and thought I would throw it out.
Blondie released an album in 2003 called "The Curse of Blondie" that yielded a medium-sized hit single called "Good Boys". I think it peaked at #12 in the UK. In the album's songwriting credits, the authors are listed as Deborah Harry and Kevin Griffin. Flash ahead to 2006, and there's a new BLondie greatest hits set released to capitalize on their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, called "Greatest Hits - Sound and Vision". A remix of "Good Boys" is on the disc, but this time the songwriting credits are Deborah Harry, Kevin Griffin, and Brian May. There's nothing in the remixed version that sounds remotely like Queen's Brian May, and the lyrics are unchanged from the original album version.
Does anybody know if this is "our" Brian May? I know there was an Australian movie score composer named Brian May, but he's been dead for quite a while. Is there another musican out there with the same name? The song includes a lyric that bears a slight resemblence to a verse in "We Will Rock You", which goes like this:
You've got me on your face
You big disgrace
Shaking your feathers all over the place
I know our Brian likes to get credit, but I hope he didn't somehow muscle his way into a songwriting royalty because of those three lines.

They probably voluntarilly included Brian in the credits to avoid an incident, unlike Vanilla Ice when it could not be clearer that he ripped off the Under Pressure bassline.
Dreaming - that's my favorite. Clem Burke is an amazing drummer.

*sigh* I was afraid of that. Maybe Jefferson Airplane will sue Freddie's estate for a chunk of "Somebody to Love". I mean, its obviously a rip off, right?
