Yes, it's offensive to Americans, but one thing we should have, if anything, is a sense of humor. Obviously it isn't true, but that doesn't mean it isn't funny. As far as involving oneself in political knowledge - it really is unnecessary. I don't blame people for having a who cares attitude toward politics. Why, the biggest reason for my involvement is that I enjoy debating, and that's pretty much what politics is. Honestly, it doesn't really effect me. The day something drastic is in danger of happening, tell me, and I might become an activist. Until then, it doesn't matter to the general, everyday person. |

Go north too. It's REALLY pretty up north: Less pollution, more space... I don't know about the northwest but the northeast is great!!! By the way, THAT'S HILARIOUS QOW!!! Honestly, and that's how some people think of us. :*( Ah well, I don't care how anyone thinks. Of course, scary as it is, I know some people who have similar opinions about the world. I'd love to see something about the British too, something like those maps. |

I don't know who Jimmy Nail is. People hardly ever say anything to Pieter about his accent. The only person that can't understand him is Lisser..;-) |

Erin wrote: I don't know who Jimmy Nail is. People hardly ever say anything to Pieter about his accent. The only person that can't understand him is Lisser..;-)pff!! I can understand most of what he says. I've noticed it is mostly numbers I can't understand him say. Usually when he talks to me I get what he's saying even if I can't understand exactly what he said bc of context clues. But when he's giving me number directions, like exit 340, I can't understand the exact number he is saying. Sometimes I can't understand you though either Erin! You've got quite a twang on ya there! I absolutely can not understand my friend that is from Yorkshire in England. They speak waaay too fast for me. |
