I videotaped the entire Worcester 3/10 show in true 1080i 16x9 widescreen Hi-Definition! The picture quality is of course stunning. The audio is amazing quality too because I used an external microphone and my video camera has manual audio recording levels, which eliminates the "squashed" sound of automatic gain with auto only levels. I'm leary of posting the entire video for download because I know some people will sell it on ebay and other places. I didn't pay $2,000 for a Sony hi-def video camera, so that whoever can profit from what I filmed, particularly for a video like this which is so above the norm of a typical lower quality audience shot vid. I will most likely post a few songs from it though for you guys to download and burn onto DVD-R. Having some of the show is better than none of the show, right? :) I was dead center at the show so, the angle is perfect. I didn't have any other fans standing in front of me blocking my view, or any camera ducks from security problems. There was 1 security guy in the tunnel to the left of the section I was in, but he was mostly worried about showing people to their seats. It's still always a nerve wracking thing though to videotape a show, at any moment you can get spotted and have the tape(s) taken. Check out some stills from my video, these are straight off the video, they haven't been touched up in photoshop or anything like that. link link link link link link link link link link link link link link link link link link |

I would love to have this concert on video!! I was at the show right near the catwalk and I really felt it was an awesome show. I was praying that someone taped it, even in so-so quality, but what you have here looks AMAZING! I for one would definately pay money for it if you decided to sell it as would, I'm sure, many other Queen fans, especially after Brian's comment about it being one of the best QPR shows! If you choose not to, that's all right too. I'm just so glad to hear that someone has recorded this brilliant show! Thank You!! PS. If you decide to put up a download of a couple songs for us that would be wonderful :) |

PieterMC wrote: I hope this can lay to rest the theory that Americans don't know how to record a show :-DYes, I read that on this board and found it to be silly. I don't film much these days, work, marriage, and just plain getting older, has zapped quite a bit of my desire to stealth videotape shows. I videotaped my 1st show in 1987 and did hundreds after that on a regular basis up until 2003. I don't have a master video list online anymore and I rarely trade these days. This "American who doesn't know how to record a show" has lost count how many times over the years people have told me that "x" video I filmed is the best video of "y" tour, which is always nice to hear. :) In 2004, I was the primary filmer (center camera angle) of what became the 3 camera angles mix of Rush : Radio City Music Hall 8/18/04, and was downloaded a quadruple number of times from dimeadozen.org, along with tons of comments from people saying it was the best Rush audience shot video ever, etc. |

It's from the Hi-Def master videotapes down converted to standard def, onto a Panasonic stand alone DVD recorder hard drive, in highest quality 1 hour video mode, with LPCM 48kHz 16bit 2 channel stereo audio. The DVD-R is just under 1GB in size and is 15 minutes long. I'll upload it here as soon as I get it figured out, i've never uploaded to this site before. |

coops wrote: What great shots. Most of us would give a limb to have the video. Pity you cannot burn it to dvd without losing most of the clarity. HD dvd burners are coming soon though, so keep that tape safe and I see Ebay in your future.Viewed on my Sony 36" Hi-Def TV, yes, you can see quality loss going from Hi-Def to standard def but, it's not as much as you'd think, definitely not "most" of the clarity. I've filmed on many cameras and formats since the 80s, starting with 8mm, then Hi-8, then Digital8, and now Hi-Def, and since the source tape is so good originating with Hi-Def, the DVD-Rs I make when down converted to standard def, look better than any video that was filmed in standard def to begin with. As for ebay in my future, ebay is my past. I did that for awhile and there was a lot of headache. There are a lot of non-taper resellers who bid on your videos just so they can sell it, and what's worse is that they're so impatient. They'd want the video overnighted "for a birthday present" (I read that in e-mails so many times that I lost count). Some of them would list their own auction, with the stills I originally put up, along with a lower price to attract more people, right after bidding on it, before they even had it. It was real cut throat stuff, based on the better a video looks, the more they'd want it from me. It just got to be such a pain that I stopped a few years ago. That is my biggest issue with this stuff - i'd be fine letting all the fans who want it for free download have it, but I know that within days, there will be a few sellers on ebay. Additionally, i'm not aware of ANY Hi-def audience shot sourced video for any band even existing yet on the internet so, that makes for an "exciting selling point". It's a shame because i'm sure 99% of fans would just watch it for their own enjoyment, but all I have to see is 1 person on ebay making hundreds of $$$, and my blood will boil. In my opinion, those people should go buy their own $2,000 Hi-Def video camera, and film the show on their own. Let them put the $$$ and effort into doing it. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, stealth videotaping shows isn't exactly stress free. One of the e-mails I received tonight from someone on this board says - "ps. beware of another 'trader' from the Netherlands, XXXXXXXXXX (name removed). He usually trades rare footage and then sells it..." That's exactly the kind of grief I don't need. |

Even if I put a watermark, or something to that effect into a portion of the picture, resellers on ebay and elsewhere would still sell it. They would just "forget" to mention it. |

Hi NY fan. To share the DVD on Queenzone you need a programme called maketorrent and a BitTorrent client. I recommend ABC. Both are free on the net. Create a torrent file with maketorrent, it's easy and self explaining. Make sure you enter the Queenzone tracker as the chosen tracker link Store the torrent file in the same folder as the DVD files you want to share. Now upload the torrent file to the Queenzone tracker via this upload link link Now load the torrent file from your hard drive into the ABC client and start seeding. If you have a problem, contact me. Thank you very much for sharing, we are all dying to see and hear the new material in good quality (no offense, Ms Fahrenheit) Btw, your Brian May in New Haven 1993 is the best audience video I ever saw, we already owe you for sharing this one for free. |

Yeah, sell it yourself on ebay on "buy it now" for $20 or so for a 2 disc set. I'm sure if you put loads on you'd sell a lot. Just don't send the DVDs out for a week or two to maximise sales and reduce the chance of someone else selling it while you're still selling it. Even a CD copy of the entire show would be appreciated by all the fans if you decided not to release the video.... Thanks, David |

WOW! This looks COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!! It all has been said before, but I would love to have a copy of this show. But I understand your reasons why you don't want to share it in complete form. Still, if it is possible to get a copy somehow it would be great. One problem that I have at this moment with all DVD-video's shared here, is that I don't have a DVD-burner, so I can't burn them and see them, and have to stick with MPG/AVI/etc at the moment. Still, would love to see it. If you even consider a share or sell, please count me in. grtz JeroenG jgulikers@hotmail.com |

I don't even have the nerve to ask you to share the full video here and I fully understand your concerns about someone else making profit out of it, because many people would do it since the quality seems to be stunning. I just want to congratulate you! :) On the other hand, I would really like to have something to trade with you, if you were willing to do so, hehe :) I'm looking forward to seeing some video sample from your marvelous recording in the near future. If the video is as good as the still images suggest and the gig was as good as Brian said it was, I believe your recording will become an instant classic. :) See ya, Wiley |

Thanks a bunch for being willing to share the 15 minute snippet with the more interesting stuff in it, I really appreciate it. But won't those eBay rats try to sell this too? With those interesting songs in it, it still has value... That "selling it yourself on eBay"-idea that was proposed earlier sounds pretty good, shipping copies two or even more months after the auction start. In that period, most true fans will be able spot and go for it, knowing that you're the original and only source. Honest fans are happy, dishonest ones are bloody annoyed and, although I realize you're not really in it for money, earning a lot if not all of that $2000 back, is a nice side-effect. :) |
john bodega 15.03.2006 12:43 |
I really would just release the thing, but in lower quality (perhaps even watermarked) so that it's pretty much impossible for people to see without it being obvious that they can get it for free somewhere else. But that's just me! Thanks again for the pics, they're excellent. |

i think that you don't have to fear ebay sellers. I think that it's better to share the video with a torrent here with the people that are instersted about the video instead of keeping the video secret with a few people. If you share the concert there will be anyway someone who will sell the show for a period of time, unfortunately it happens. But if you share it the people who care about the video would download it for free and it would be amazing. |

Rick, QueenfanNY filmed the Brian May (October) 1993 New Haven concert which is without a doubt the best available Queen related audience video ever. He shared this video on DAD for free. Apparently, he did not make much of a fuss about it or you would know that. |

My own very limited experience of makign recordings has already taught me well. Next time, a handful of people will automatically get a copy, and nobody else will even know it exists. I would recommend NYfan to give whatever taster he's willing to, and then keep the rest for his own entertainment. Anything else will end up in the situation he'd want to avoid. No matter who you trust, eventually someone, even accidentally, letting you down. Or sell it to Jim Beach for $2000 then leak out copies... |

People should respect that QueenfanNY bought the equipment(not cheap) to record this and put his neck out there. If QueenfanNY chooses not to share this or to share in limited fashion it is more than understandable. When somebody spends their money on equipment and takes a chance to record a concert it is absolutely galling to see someone else deciding to profit. If nothing else I'm happy to have seen the pictures and am hopeful that QueenfanNY will be comfortable sharing the 3 songs without feeling taken advantage of. |

I'd be willing to pay $30 US for a DVD, or $40 US for an HD DVD-R / BD-R copy (once the technology and blank discs come out), of the whole concert. |

PieterMC wrote: I don't think he is going to be selling it anytime soon. I wondered how long it would take for you to bring up HD-DVD ;-)I *almost* brought it up in my earlier post. ED: It wouldn't be a bad idea to take pre-orders for two months for DVD-R copies for $20+ US each. That way, he could recoup for at least a good percentage of the money he spent on the HD camera (which incidentally, I would also love to get one of my own; FutureShop is selling them here for over $2200 CDN plus tax, so it's very expensive indeed) |

If he just releases it everywhere he can, there won't be any POINT in trying to sell it on eBay because they'll all have it already! I don't understand the fuss over the expense of his camera... sure it was a noble thing to do, risking capture by enemy forces like that; but there are some of us (hyuk hyuk, AUSTRALIA) who simply don't have the option to even try it! Hi guys, I just got home from work about 45 minutes ago. My wife made the torrent, (i'm the filmer, she's better at computers than me). However, we followed the instructions which included...... : UPLOAD YOUR FILE TO THE QUEENZONE.COM TRACKER: Go to the following URL to upload your .torrent file to the queenzone.com tracker: link ......but unfortunately, the dreaded "page can't be displayed" is all that URL takes us too. Is the page down? Is there a typo in the URL? Either way, sadly there's no way to upload the DVD tonight. It looks like we'll have to try again tomorrow night. :-/ |

Although DVD is great quality DVD cannot produce a HD signal. HD-DVD and Blue-Ray discs will be able to handle HD. |

HD DVD technology is new to the market. I believe there will be 2 formats (ala Beta vs VHS); and it will be a few years before HD DVD players are affordable for the average consumer. In other words the video that we will probably end up seeing will not be viewed in true HD format, however - the way it was recorded will prove to provide acceptable if not a brilliant picture. |

That's right...the best Q+PR show yet. :) Such a show deserves a HD recording of it....don't you think? I am sure the Band would be interested in seeing this disc as well...nice little momento of the show. I wonder if they ever record all that video footage from every show for viewing in the future? It's a shame that stuff is just "broadcast" that night and then lost forever. How neat would it be if it was discovered that certain shows were recorded for prosperity, and maybe even just because they can? Mmm...now that would be interesting to see. |
roxxanne61 16.03.2006 19:27 |
i believe he said the best queenpr show EVER thats saying alot and i cannot believe that what they are broadcasting is not filmed they must look back at that stuff and see what went on, ie., good stuff, bad stuff, you know i would hope that the worcester show is released by queenfan ny but i understand his reasons for being so skeptical for those of us who were there, it was a once in a lifetime, to die for show, and it is very hard to describe what we witnessed that night it still gives me goosebumps nearly a week later whatever he can give us, i dont care, just to be able to relive even a little bit of it will put me right back in ecstasy where i was last week!!! |

I hope Blu-Ray becomes the standard format for high definition DVD discs. HD DVD is starting to suck really bad, despite some slight turns of the tides in their favor as of late: -Microsoft Windows Vista might not include Media Center support for HD DVD or Blu-Ray link -Only one HD DVD launch title has been confirmed so far ("U2: Rattle and Hum") link And to balance it out a bit (or unbalance it more...?): -Sony decides not to implement Image Constraint token on Blu-Ray discs link (This one should tickle those of us who love console gaming systems!) -PS3 set to launch in November 2006 link |

I don't post on here very often, although I've been around for a while now. I'd just like to repeat what everyone else on here, and on the original discussion thread has already said. QueenfanNY - you've made a lot of people extremely happy. Your obvious expertise, combined with sheer balls, has produced what seems to be the best quality audience recording we have ever seen. Not only that, you have shown your generosity and good nature by sharing the songs that everyone wants to see and hear, especially those of us outside the US who can't attend the current shows. No doubt you are being hounded by so many people for a full copy of your recording - this is understandable as we are true fans of this band. I, as have many others on here, recognise and appreciate your decision to protect your investment and your efforts from opportunists. I'd just like to say thank you for sharing what you have shared, and for taking the subject of audience recordings to a completely new level. Take care, MHAD |

I'm pleased to see this, of all the shows to be captured on film in this quality, be enshrined for the ages. Worcester's performance certainly deserves it.... |

Thanks so much for sharing the part of this excellent DVD. I know that you are unwilling to share the full DVD, but would you at least give us just the audio from the show? even mp3 would be great..I think there are a good many people who are dying to the "best QPR show ever" and you would be a heroe of the community if you would do it. Thanks |

OY those are FAB!!!! I love your camera!!! |
Kuku 29.03.2006 00:53 |
I just finished downloading the preview and watched it. And my response is... this is the best quality fan video I've ever watched! Thank you so much for sharing it, even 15 minutes are so gratifying. I recently got ROTC for my birthday gift, and that revived my interest in Queen. It feels good to be back and loving 'em. |
Deacons 1st Choice 02.04.2006 20:42 |
Any more news regarding this dvd? I have read in another thread that a copy of this show was sent to Brian in the hopes of getting it released as a "official" bootleg. Is this indeed true? |
roxxanne61 02.04.2006 21:12 |
it was a guy in italy that was sending it to them in england i have been waiting on pins and needles also it feels like SOOOO long ago since this show and i would SO love to see the whole thing!!!!!! lets keep our fingers crossed...... |
queenfanNY 30.04.2006 04:02 |
link Take a look at that link. Whoever this trancer@queencollector.com person is, he took 1 of my Worcester video stills, as seen here...... link ....... and used it for a video cover for a Philadelphia 2006 video, which he didn't even film, and is selling it for $15 plus shipping. This is a blatant misrepresentation of what a person would receive if they bought a Philly video from him, since the cover of the Philly video isn't even from that show. Just when I was considering putting up more of my Worcester video for free download, I figured i'd look around online to see if i'd find anything with what i've done so far, and I saw that. I'm sorry for all you other good hearted fans but, seeing what this trancer person did, (and who knows what else I didn't stumble across online) just made me say to myself, "forget it". |
Rick 30.04.2006 05:38 |
Yeah, Trancer is one f*cking bastard. It's a pity to see this everytime again. |
roxxanne61 30.04.2006 08:03 |
queen fan ny we all hope you reconsider all of us who were at that show STILL talk about it and STILL miss it and would give our right arm for a few more minutes of this show while i agree that the guy is an ass and it is gross that he is profiting from your work please consider the honest ones of us here who are DYING to see more of Worcester again jill in MA. |

roxxanne61 wrote: it was a guy in italy that was sending it to them in englandThat was me - I'm going to ask about it next week: AFAIK, Brian hasn't yet begun to deal with the huge lot of things that have been sent to him while he was on tour. Will let you all know - of course, if queenfan_ny, who filmed the concert, is still willing to hand over his DVD. I do hope he does, before someone else takes advantage of his work. |
Thanks 30.04.2006 11:03 |

To be honest, had you shared the whole thing trancer would be selling it. If you ever trade it, trancer will end up selling it. Your best bet was always to either never share it, ot trade it aggressively (ie for particularly choice items) for a short time to maximise your gain from it before sharing it for free in as many places as possible to minimise the market for guys like trancer. Then accept that it's "out there", & get on with your life. Or you could threaten to sue trancer for using your image without permission? |
turini 30.04.2006 13:09 |
i watch this every day because it reminds me of my experience of show. please consider more |
PieterMC 01.05.2006 13:18 |
Trancer once used a photograph that I had taken and posted online at Electric Fire concert and used it as a cover. I e-mailed him and told him that I was pissed that he was using my photograph and he did stop using it. I just can't stand what he does. |

He makes a habit of selling things he downloads for free.. |

Trancer should be shot to death. |
roxxanne61 02.05.2006 21:57 |
it just sucks for those of us who want to relive that night |

It's too bad that there's people like this, willing to take free material and make profit out of it (like this Trancer guy). There are some in mercadolibre.com.mx, an ebay-like site here in Mexico, and they disgust me. I understand the recorder of this concert aswell. He paid for his equipment, he took the risk to record the show and he did it. Then he was kind enough to share part of it. The clip posted here look marvelous and I hope this guy can make some profit out of it (trade it for something else, maybe sell it himself) and then release it. I would do it like someone else said: "Sell many copies among fans but ship them all together after some time or until you sell a considerable amount". It could be done through this site. Someone else could contribute with artwork, menus for the DVD, etc. and make it something by the fans for the fans. After this is done, we could constantly check on eBay and make comments on other seller's pages that the material is not to be sold and that it would be available for free as a download in Queenzone, after the initial release/sale in which many of us would have already bought it. I know I'm not the first one to suggest something like this and maybe the owner of this video is already trading it with someone or something like that, but I think that this way, the owner could maximize its profit and in the end the fans could get this awesome recording. I'm sorry. But my best friend's birthday is coming up, and she would like nothing better than to relive that glorious night, which also happened to be her first rock concert ever. I mean, it'll never compare to last year's present , which was the actual going to the gig, but this is very, very close. So I ask you one last final time. Can we please have the video? |

Just curious... What ever became of this ? Was this ever "released" to some people...or is it still stowed away ? Anyone here actually own a copy, or has anyone seen the complete footage yet? |
Penetration_Guru 18.03.2008 17:37 |
Where, ANYWHERE in this thread, is there any indication that the situation has changed from "nobody's getting more than 3 songs"? |
Deacons 1st Choice 20.03.2008 00:34 |
Fans have a way of "weeding" out such things. I am simply wondering if anyone was successful. Perhaps it is better said like this: "Does anyone know if "anyone" was ever able to see/get the entire show"? |
Mkls 04.04.2008 15:52 |
Can i have it PLEASE. I promise to torrent it and make 100% free. Pretty please??? Is that enough i wonder? |

well, having attended this show, I could only dream of seeing more of it. It was a great night and a great concert. I'd be very curious to know if we will ever see more of it thetman |
