I didn't know exacly where to post this, but since most of you probably know, I thought I would ask. I was wondering how exacly do I burn video concerts to DVD so I can watch them at home? I have Nero Express. Is that enough? Can anyone give me any tips? |

So you just basically click on "Video CD" and then "Add"? And when the burning process is complete, I can watch it on my DVD player? |

Yeah, I have near the same problem - HOW TO BURN A DVD FROM AVI (OR MPEG4) FILE? (USING JUST ONLY ONE PROGRAM THAT MAKES EVERYTHING) ??? Nero is just burning the TS-files which you need to create by some program first... |

I'm no expert in this, so checkin the help section of the software might help you alot :D. I just did this once with a few Queen concerts in one dvd. |

Just copy and paste that in Google and click on the first link which brings you to a download link. I believe you can use that program to convert files into DVD format. |

I am using TMPGEnc DVD Author. It is much easier then nero. For the conversion of files (Avi to mpg) I use Cucosoft. If somebody can't find these programs just post it and I will make a rapidshare post of them. Medion |

Using Nero Vision (NERO 7), go to MAKE DVD > DVD-VIDEO. Click on ADD VIDEO FILES and insert the correct AVI file or files (in the correct order). If you want to, click on CREATE CHAPTERS. Either spend time going through and getting to the point where a song starts or insert the chapters randomly. Personally I think it's best to take the time and go to the start of the song. To create a chapter, move along the line to where you want the chapter break and then click ADD CHAPTER button (last button the right). The chapters that you have then inserted will appear on the right hand side. If you want to add the song title, dounle click on the chapter title and insert it. After you have added the chapters, click NEXT. If the video is too long for the disc, it will tell you. Standard play is 2hrs. If it doesn't automatically change the quality, click on MORE > VIDEO OPTIONS > DVD-VIDEO > QUALITY SETTING and change to AUTOMATIC. Now the video should fit onto the disc. As concerts are normally about 2 hours, changing the quality shouldn't effect it too much. (Good time to save what you've done so far now.) Click NEXT and go into the MENU menu. First of all, click on MENUS TO USE in the top right hand corner, for what menus you want. ie if you want just a title screen or a menu with all the song chapters on. To change the menu style, either click on EDIT MENU or click on down bar where it says DEFAULT below Menus to use and pick one off there. By going into Edit Menu, you can change the layout of the chapters, background picture or video and music, button style (inc. how the chapter name is displayed (change this to text only)), fonts used, shadow etc. If you have sub menus, click on the green circles below the screen to move about. When done, click on Next. Click on MORE, and go to START PLAYBACK WITH. Either keep this as Menu, or click on the first video you want to start playing (preferred). Then click next. You can then check to see how the DVD will work. If it isn't going as you wish, click on Back and change it, or click NEXT and go to the burning stage. Best thing is to WRITE TO HARD DISK FOLDER. Click on this and go to the folder you want it written to. Once this is done, click on WRITE. This may take a few hours depending on the size of file, type of file, PC being used etc. The file created will be a VIDEO_TS file. To burn this using NERO, go into NERO EXPRESS, click on VIDEO/PICTURES > DVD-VIDEO FILES > ADD and go to the VIDEO_TS folder that you want. Click on ADD for the VIDEO_TS folder (don't go into the folder to add the files). Click CLOSE > NEXT. Add a disc name if required and make sure correct DVD-RW drive is selected. Click the pop-up bar on the left side to change the write speed if required. Don't check the SIMULATION or VERIFY DATA. Once done, click on BURN. There you go. |

Hi With Nero 6 you have to buy a plug-in if you wanted to burn DVD's. Is it the same with Nero 7? |
Manic 15.03.2006 06:07 |
Nero 7 comes with the Mpeg-2 plug-in installed. |

You can also try a program called "Thefilmmachine" (search google) It will do everything for you. If you want to make chapters corresponding with the songs you have to find out at wich time each song starts and then use a DVD authoring program to manually insert the chapters. |

I don't know how to help you, but with nero 6 there is something called nero recode 2. You can use it to burn DVD's that are too large for one disc, on exactly one disc. You can also use it to burn downloaded DVD's with menu's without loosing these menus. |
