Why Queen wasn't on live AID?
| Tea 12.03.2006 05:36 |
I don't know why Queen wasn't preforming on live Aid this year(last year,2005)when Freddie was live they were on live aid and they were the best on it, why now when they're 'preforming again' wasn't on live aid??? what do u think about that??? |
| Serry... 12.03.2006 05:42 |
I think that Freddie died 14 years before Live 8... |

The Live8 concerts were July 2nd. Queen+Paul Rodgers played in Lisbon that day. |
| Munchsack 12.03.2006 08:28 |
Queen + Paul Rodgers were supposed to play Live 8 via satellitle from The Greatest City On Earth on July 2nd, but something went wtong with it. So, to compromise, Chris Evans sang Radio Ga Ga at the Edinburgh Live 8 on July 6th. It was awful. |

because Bob geldof was smart enough to know that if he invited brian and roger he would have had to invite paul rodgers as well... in other words: a big stain on the history of these concerts |

A ima i još jedna prica da ih Geldof nije htio na koncertu. Ne znam zakaj |

Brian And Roger ARE Queen, they ARE the original two members who are performing together, so they are therefore Queen, if john deacon toured with roger it would be Queen, if brian toured with john it would be QUEEN!!! any two members that two together are QUEEN!!! so let me summarise BRIAN AND ROGER ARE QUEEN DUMBASS! |

you fools! the band QUEEN died in 1991. how can two members be QUEEN? remember Freddie Mercury? oh i forgot you fools prefer Paul Rodgers over Freddie. QUEEN R.I.P. 1971-1991 brian and roger are not QUEEN they are just greedy money pigs who replaced Freddie Mercury with Paul Rodgers. ITS OVER, GIVE IT UP |

read the quotes from Brian and Roger on the news section..... Twenty-odd years down the road from supplying the sporting events of the world with the boom-boom-thwack that kicks off "We Will Rock You," Roger Taylor is keenly aware that, for many, the thought of Queen on the road in the post-Freddie Mercury era And this is what he'd like to tell those people. "Get a life." No, really. Taylor laughs, then adds, "And that's what Freddie would have said as well. I mean, the world moves on. We miss him. Always did. But we all own our songs. And the fact is that Brian and I are still able to go out and do it. "In a way, it's a little insulting. Great as Freddie was, the band was a true democracy. The fact that he was the visual focus and certainly, in the first 10 years, the most prolific writer, is not denied. But it was a four-man band. We've got the memories. They were great. But this is the best we could have hoped to have done and it's happened as a serendipity." I think Freddie would've agreed to keep the legend of QUEEN going, if it's Paul Rodgers or another singer, keep the Queen legend going, Freddie is not with us no more but i'm sure he's looking down from Heaven and enjoying keeping the Queen music going............and yes i NO that 2 out of 4 in a group is'nt right, but i have to agree with the concert and muscial keeping the Queen legend alive! Nothing wrong with that.......... just my 2 cents......... Long live QUEEN..... Micky |

jordanjo wrote: you fools! the band QUEEN died in 1991.-Oh really? Why are they out touring with Paul Rodgers, and going to various events and such? how can two members be QUEEN?Well considering Queen was divided into four parts (Freddie, Brian, Roger, John)(4/4) and Freddie is dead making that have 3 parts (3/3), and since John has retired there is 2 parts active (2/2). They are Queen. How about the people who support the collaboration with Paul Rodgers? Brian and Roger do, (2/4) John Deacon does, (3/4). Majority rules man. GIT WIDDIT!!! :-P remember Freddie Mercury? oh i forgot you fools prefer Paul Rodgers over Freddie.-Freddie was a great frontman. He could sing amazingly, he could control a crowd better than almost anyone, and he had quite a personality both on and off the stage. We definitly miss Freddie. But most have moved on. Most accept the tour and the collaboration with Paul Rodgers. I mean, come on, it's been 15 years for god's sake! Most people have moved on after the death of a family member by this long. QUEEN R.I.P. 1971-1991"-Most websites and other information sources list Queen's life span as 1971-____. If Queen's not still around, who's playing guitar at 8:00 tonight? Who's playing drums? brian and roger are not QUEEN they are just greedy money pigs who replaced Freddie Mercury with Paul Rodgers.-Most of the money from the tickets most likely goes to paying for the massive stage, renting the venues, management, etc. All I can say is you just love Freddie. You don't care about anyone else in the band. You don't say a whole bunch of crap about Danny in the place of John do you? That goes for the Poodle too. Queen has moved on, the WORLD has moved on. I suggest you do too. It doesn't bother me much that you don't support the tour, it bothers me that you are constantly bugging people about it, insulting people for supporting the tour, and spamming the boards too (also directed at BPP). If you feel I'm a hypocrit for saying that about the insults, I called you a dumbass because you hijack topics, spam the boards, and are an overall jackass. Do us all a favor, and take a mature standpoint while expressing your opinion. |

Live 8 would of been way better if Queen and Paul was there... it would of rocked better then having those other people. Apart from the oldies lol they were good. |
| no one but you 28112 13.03.2006 14:56 |
i heard that Geldof didn't want them to preform on live 8 |

no, really, Queen is not exist anymore, but i tought on Queen +Paul Rodgers...Queen ae Roger Taylor and Brian May but others not, Queen is not exist widout Freddie...ans John Of course... iF Freddie wasn't in Queen (when he was alive) Queen woud not exist, beacouse he was the best in group and he was all in that...no-one band member wasn't gave all his life to Queen, like Freddie did...he was the best!!!!!!! |
| Smitty 14.03.2006 22:15 |
Of course that's why it's Queen + Paul Rodgers. They kept him seperate from the band name for a reason: Because he is a guest. |

Would that be OK? I disagree, so, Queen is no different |

(being sarcastic) oh no,what a shame. (not being sarcastic) this is definitely where queen+pr would have been worse than queen with freddie. |
