There have been numerous remastered Queen CD releases, including many from Japan alone. Which releases are the best sounding...specifically ADATR and SHA? I'm assuming that MFSL version of ADATR is the best? I currently own the 1991 Hollywood versions.
Hi, Excuse my english
There’s no decent remaster series from Queen
Hollywood Records distorted and compressed sound
Master Series artificial sound and compressed
EMI-Toshiba 98 Excesive filtering and compressed
EMI-Thosiba 2001-2004 an approach but most percussions sounds very bad (diffused, distorted, aggressive), some drums parts sounds distorted too
Only The miracle (and possibly Innuendo) Japanese 24 bits 2001-2004 editions are distortion free and sounds GREAT !!!!!!!!!!
Greetings
Japanese EMI-Toshiba 2001-2004 remasters shows best voice, bass and guitar tracks ever but the problem with them is the distortion on percussions and drums.
ANATO 30Th anniversary edition is very bad, distortion is still present after 30 years
I don't know if the distortion is on the recording or the mix they use. Is there a release out there that doesn't have this distortion on it? Or is it simply a misunderstanding and it's from when it was recorded.
The 30th anniversary version is bad if you focus on the distortion thing. But really, it's the best sounding release on cd.
Peace,
Adam.
Hi, excuse my English please
Talking about ANATO:
It would be necessary to check which faults we can pass:
* The big percussions and drums distortion on 44KHz/24 bit Japanese 2001-2004 edition
* Or the sound compression plus attenuated distortion on 30Th anniversary 44 KHz/16 bit
Of course I’m talking about CD stereo format only.
By other side, up to now the overall best sounding CD album is The 24 bit Japanese EMI-Toshiba 2001-2004 edition of The Miracle album
Greetings
