Clearly Freddie knew of Brian, Roger and John's intent to release another album after his death as he recorded the vocals for the tracks, such as Mother Love. But I wonder if anyone can tell me whether or not Freddie knew MIH and IWBTLY were going to feature on it because, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think he recorded any new vocals for these tracks. Anyone know this?
P.S. What does he sing after the line from AKOM towards the end? (I can't make it out)
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, it's magic, what, ha, ha, ha, ha
I get so lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, yeah
I want to love you (it's magic), love you, love you
Yeah, give it to me
Freddie didn't record new vocals for MIH and IWBTLY.
Weren't some songs under consideration by Queen *before* "Mr. Bad Guy?" I thought (maybe mistakenly - and damned if I can find where I read this) - that some of Freddie's songs never made their way to Queen albums, and so he put them on "Mr. Bad Guy." Could these have been MIH and IWBTLY?
Interesting to me that in the Queen version of MIH, there's a little Freddie-spoken line, "Made in Heaven," in the song of the same name, which does *not* appear in Freddie's "Mr. Bad Guy" version. I wonder if this little spoken snippet could have been taken from earlier Queen sessions....or taken from Freddie's "Mr. Bad Guy" sessions...

Thanks, Serry, but I thought there was something between the 'It's Magic!" and "I get so lonely" and more substantial than "what".

Interesting point, but I'm pretty sure it might've just been an outtake or something.
Still. I often wonder where they get their little scraps of Freddie from. Each one would have an interesting story I'll wager.
The "what" part is correct. That's it. There's nothing really interesting about these snippets that come about. They're just from in-between takes and from the tape running while getting some advice from other band members.
Though, I'd be interested to hear proper studio chat. That would be nice, but I get the idea that it's not something they'd put out as out takes and what not.
Peace,
Adam.
Unfortunately, I agree - they probably won't ever release anything.
How much do you bet, if they ever do release demos and stuff, they'll all be overdubbed with new stuff anyway? :D
