The lyrics were apparently a big collaboration (mainly Freddie and Roger - it was supposedly about Led Zeppelin). The main riff was the result of a jam that Freddie overheard, liked, and I'm pretty sure most of the song was Freddie's doing.
I don't understand about this "Innuendo is about Led Zeppelin"-thing...
As far as I know about a connection between Innuendo and Led Zep is that Robert Plant thought Innuendo is too much like Led Zep's Kashmir.
Can anyone confirm this or is it not true what I just said/wrote??
Innuendo has in a way, specially in rhythm, resemblances with Zep's Kashmir. Roger said: "it's a very british track. Oscar Wilde meets Led Zeppelin".
The song is a collaboration, but make no mistakes, the middle part... that's Freddie all around.
As for the video, all members portrait an artist style in painting. Freddie was Da Vinci, Brian was Victorian draws, Roger was Jackson Pollack and John was Picasso. So, his image does not appear as much as for instance Freddie, but Roger does not appear that much...
