Hi, does anyone remember a guitar-mag cover mounted CD (about 1997) on which Brian does a multi-layered great version of 'God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen'(I think it was that Carol anyway). I have lost track of this CD and am wandering if anyone out there has this?
I remeber Brian giving an introduction to the Carol by saying something like "I'm out here in the Bahamas nice and warm and whilst you are back home in the cold etc. etc."
Sorry, but your memory is playing tricks with you - no such track exists. However, he did a censored version of 'Love Token' for the 'Classic Rock Collection Volume 4', and a track called 'Sideburns' in a 'Guitarist' magazine if my own memory serves me correctly.
Somebody else (or indeed bananawig) asked this here about 6 months ago, and I replied that it rang a bell and I thought I had it.
Well, since then I've had a look and couldn't seem to find it, but I disagree with John that it doesn't exist. I'm still sure that I at least did own this, even if I can't locate it now.
Hi Bohardy, yes it was me six months ago, I'm still trying to find it, so was 'fishing' again!
Yes I have both sideburns and the explicit version of Love Token from cover-mounted Cds, but this was definately from another. I have friends who listened to it too and we definately remember laughing alot at a real heavy rock, masively multi layered version of this christmas carol. It is a total Brian classic - I must find!
