I blew a date by my stance on Queen.
I met a hot girl, talked about this and that, all was well, till we got to music. She gave the lamest answer of all time in saying what she likes, which of course is... "I like a little bit of everything." When I threw Queen out there, she laughed. I think I blew it and offended her when I said, "What's so funny??? Hey, if you hate Queen, I can tell you right now this ain't going anywhere.) Lame, I know, but my attitude is that if she knows Queen and doesn't like them, it's a no win scenario. Why??? Because every ex I have ever had thought okay of Queen going in, and were driven crazy by the overplaying of them when it was over.
If I ever meet a hot girl with a Queen fetish half the size as mine... I might propose on the spot. Silly and goofy as this message may be... A knock on Queen to me is like a shot at religion to a Bishop. It just doesn't come out well.
God you're dumb. Dumb dumb dumb.
Though, in your defense, anyone who says "a little bit of everything" is a patented liar. "Oh really? Great, then we'll listen to what I like."

You sound like a nirvana song.lol
Yeah,if you really find this girl attractive, you shouldnt let music get in the way of a possible relationship.
Guess I'm the odd one out here because I agree. If music is important to you, then sharing a common interest in it is important to a relationship. Just like a skier would like a mate who is at least interested in skiing and not someone whose main interest is primetime TV.
BUT... just because she laughed, it doesn't mean she won't show an interest. Especially if she 'likes all kinds of music'. If you liked her otherwise, call her again. She just might surprise you.
Freddie's favourite musician starting out in Queen was Jimi Hendrix, does that mean we all must like him? We all love Freddie so we should like what he liked? That is the basis of what your saying. Having said that I could never go out with someone into rap shit! You have to have a limit.

You're allowed to say stuff like that, really. In fact, it's good. Just don't say it seriously.
