I cannot believe a magazine of such quality has put this on its cover.
Welcome to the XXI century.
Press is no longer relagated to keep itself behind of complete utter respect towards the government. If the New Yorker has decided (at least for only once) to change their classic trademark of sophisticated humor, for a more satirical approach, then what's so wrong about it? You make it seem as if the New Yorker has adopted some sort of completely tasteless toilet humor typical from Howard Stern or 'South Park'.
I think it's called 'Freedom of Speech'. Something that I think appears on the First Ammendment of the U.S. Constitution. I don't know if they taught you about it in school.
Btw, that was hilarious. Thumbs up to the New Yorker.
When I first saw the drawing, I thought the man in the background was Cheney's friend who he shot, as if the drawing suggested hey, I bagged one. At a closer glance, I guess it is Bush in the background, and Cheney is trying to hush up the event. Good old free speech - you gotta love it!
