TheGame 22.02.2006 01:40 |
If you want to make this easier, why not upload the whole concert on link or link ( 250mb pr.file, very nice) |
928 22.02.2006 03:44 |
fair enough ,if you dont know, you dont know. Go take a look here link follow that or read the last post in that thread for a torrent client that does it for you in 3 clicks. Looking at the torrent file that you made in notepad you seem to be going in the correct direction. BUT you have the wrong announce url for the tracker....it should be link. When all is done & you post it up you must add some sort of info on what it is....music,video etc. Also add a song list & what format the files are in....this case is Mp3(Lossy). If it has to be Mp3,say what birate they are in(quality). Try not to rip them from the disc in less than 192kbps. The lower you go,the more lossy it is & crappy it sounds. Go too low & they will sound how YV encoded video looks & be a waste of time. 320kbps is best for Mp3,but .....if you can rip them from the disc with a proggy called Db power Amp & choose the FLAC mode even better. FLAC is lossless & you will get a clone of your disc & peeps will get EXACTLY what you have on your CD. Another proggy to rip them with is a proggy called EAC(Exact Audio Copy). Rip them uncompressed(wav) & then use Db Power Amp to convert to FLAC. Put them in a folder & make your torrent. |

Exactly what it says.....YV couldnt encode a fart properly. You would know that if you knew anything about video encoding specifications. Just because you see a picture on your screen doesnt make it correct Every single one is wrong spec for a VCD or SVCD be it audio or video. All have a mixture of VCD & SVCD specs as a finished product. & to top it i even got a DVD of a Queen compilation in a trade once that was YV encoded & they were VCD's converted to DVD.Binned it straight away...joke DVD. In 2 and a half years observing the antics & offers on this site,i have seen 4 members that know what they are doing. The rest know nothing og quality & KEEPING the integrity of a file intact. To them an mp3 is the same as a FLAC,WMA,RA,ogg....it has a sound No one in the trading circle trusts anything from a queen trader because you never know the linage of it,or how fucked up it will be when you recieve it. Dont like what i said? Then you dont know or cant take the truth because you ain't one of the 4. Away from YV encoded video.....how long did it take you all to fuck up the integrity of Houston 77 video & audio? 2 Days!!Then it was lossied up. See what i mean Joke |

Apparently, altruism is not in your dictionary. There is something to be said about sharing, regardless of quality control issues. Of course, this is a foreign concept to the ivory-tower of hard-core collectors. I'm sorry we have upset your fragile world. |
AC 22.02.2006 13:47 |
Sorry, 928, but I couldn't find how many DVD you encoded and shared here. Please enlighten me. |

I agree with you 928, i really don't like the way people are converting vcd's into dvd's and the same goes for audio bootlegs. I don't see how this can be a problem though, cous when trading it's only a matter of requesting screenshots. Same goes for audio, ask for freq.analyze shots. However, most fans on this site isn't collectors and i think most people are happy with what they get here overall. |
ranto 22.02.2006 14:12 |
Think you've totally missed the point on this section. It is for people to share Queen related files to those who would normally never get to see/hear it. Why would you be angry because a person is trying to share material with others in a quality that doesnt match your obvious high standards? And who gives a toss who you are and who your fantastic four are... havent heard that sort of jibberish since i was at primary school 20 years ago! Grow Up. |
928 22.02.2006 16:39 |
No,i think you have missed the point ranto. I have no problem with sharing at all,i share all the time. What i object to is lossying up perfectly good files that then get lossied up again & again so that you all in a few years wonder why there are no decent quality video or audio files of that particular gig because people dont really know or dont care what they are doing to them. If someone has a bandwidth cap, then use the PM button & see if they can do a B+P for the file. Sometimes the files on here make Kazaa files look more superior. People take the time to get you a file in the best possible quality & in 1 day its been screwed to a WMA or a VCD.Just to keep the size down. Bottom line is the smaller the file, the lossier it is Then the new person will use winavi or some crap to re-convert to a DVD & they then think that it's now a DVD & the quality is as it was before. You know thats not true. They might then trade that & the next person rips that as a VCD screwing it even more.....& the cycle continues. If you cant see that, well, jibberish eh!!I take it you didnt learn at "primary" school either then...lol. Its not that i dont want to share on here, its that i dont trust you lot to keep the txt, integrity & files as they were & should be kept. Quality counts in this game Go play with your i-pod m8 PS: Its not MY fantastic four.I said i have seen 4 people who know what they are doing. Did you learn to read at whatever school you went to!! @ The Game, yeah i know but 1/2 in here dont know how to post a set-list let alone a screen shot.....lol At least we know what we're doing eh ;) |
ranto 23.02.2006 05:27 |
I've actually traded since the early 90's mate and I Do understand where your coming from, but that doesnt mean you can mouth off and belittle folk who want to share or are to young or inexperienced to understand trading rules that don't apply to them. Trading for some years now has been radically changed with the advent of the internet becoming easier to share/download/upload/etc. even you must understand that. The people here dont reencode just to mess up the quality, they reencode because they believe they are helping others out, how are they supposed to follow trading rules that don't apply to them or never will. And you know its not just this site that changes quality. Your anger should be vented also at those outside the board. You seemed to have admitted that yourself, "They might then trade that & the next person rips that as a VCD screwing it even more.....& the cycle continues." Trading I'm afraid is going to get even less important to others as the internet speeds up/gets cheaper and even newer sharing pprogrammes are created. Surely you can't be that stubborn to admit that this is the reality of things. As for your "four", of course there are going to be people who know more than others, thats just life, that doean't mean everyone else can't join in. I used to be annoyed at the Queen Hub making it so easy for folk to get files that took me a while to trade but you learn to accept new technologies and embrace them. P2P and bittorrent is just the new way of transfering to make it easier. If you are that upset with the state of this site, I'm sure you are aware of the other trading sites that do follow strict trading rules, maybe you'd feel less aggreived there? |
YourValentine 23.02.2006 06:54 |
"& to top it i even got a DVD of a Queen compilation in a trade once that was YV encoded & they were VCD's converted to DVD.Binned it straight away...joke DVD." I do not "encode" VCD to DVD but it's true that "DVDs" from my old VCD encodings circulate and my logo is still on them. I am quite aware of the different specifications of VCD, SVCD and DVD but once they are out, everybody can use them and it happens that old mpgs are burnt on DVDs. But that is really not the fault of Queenzone. Since I do not care I really don't see why you should. My encodings always have been for free and if you don't like them just do not download them. You are free to encode your tapes yourself and not trade for them if you are so picky. Strange that I never heard about you when you are such a big fish in the collecting world. |

All I can do is agree with ranto. Really, you need to just accept what other people are good enough to share. I don't like going into "eeeeeee when I were a lad" mode, but I do remember the days when we had to make do with tape (remember that?) and vinyl. Just count yourself luck to be getting anything at all. |
