fighting Steve Perry! It's called "Journey of the Dead". The movie is about Steve Perry (former lead singer of Journey) saving a rock and roll loving couple from an attack by Rock Star Drummer Zombies. After a violent and bloody battle with the zombies, Steve Perry emerges victorious (as always) and then finds himself engaged in a karate showdown with the ultimate evil lead singer mastermind, Freddie Mercury! Freddie wants to use the Darkness' music to open a portal that will bring Hell to Earth, where he can rule both Hell and Earth on a throne of evil! Will Freddie succeed?!?! Or will Steve Perry save the Universe?!?! As Steve would say...DON'T STOP BELIEVIN'!!!!

This was the first movie that I ever wrote and directed. It's completely ridiculous and cheesy (although it's supposed to be), none of the people in it were actual actors, and the camera work is a bit off at moments, but I still love it. And although Freddie Mercury is the villain of the movie, please don't think that I did that out of hate. When I was coming up with a story about Steve Perry versus zombies, my friend (who plays Freddie in the movie) and I knew that we needed a cool villain who not only embodied Rock and Roll, but someone who would fit in ridiculous movie like this. He suggested Freddie Mercury, and we knew that was perfect. We are both big fans of Queen, and Freddie is one of the greatest frontmen of all time. And as a child, I used to watch "Flash Gordon" all the time, and the music in that film made the perfect sci-rock soundtrack. So we figured that making Freddie an immortal world conquering villain was perfect. Just like everyone in the film (there are also famous drummers), he was put in because we love classic rock and love Freddie Mercury. If you have any comments, suggestions, or if you think it sucks and would like kick me in the hot spot for wasting 22 minutes of your time, feel free to let me know here! I regularly visit this site and the forums, but I just haven't posted anything until now. If you can't get the movie to play, it just means that your computer needs the latest version of Flash, which takes just a minute to download. Thanks for your time, and DON'T STOP BELIEVIN'...IN A CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE!!!!
That was freakin hilarious! Great job man, I'm impressed. Thanks for posting the link.
By the way, I noticed the KC reference? You from that area? I went to UMKC for awhile.
Why did Freddie remind me of the French Guard in Monty Python and the Holy Grail?
In any case, nicely done. My kudos are to you.
I especially liked the use of "Spanish Fly" by Van Halen in the staredown scene.
Any chance of a sequel? Gotta give us Queen fans our due by having Freddie as a hero at some point. :P
