I was out with my friends yesterday and my friend Fionn told me this story about Freddie and Bono:
F:Did FM like Bono?
Me:No I don't think so. Why?
F:I just read something a few days ago that after Live Aid(i think)Freddie went up to Bono and started to chat him up.
Me:Fionn that never happened!
F:But The Edge was there and saw it happening!!! It's true!! I swear!!!!
Me:Bono wouldn't really be FMs type.....
F:ELEANOR THIS IS THE TRUTH!!!!!
Me: OK maybe FM did but so what???
F:You still don't believe me anyway what do you think of The Arctic Monkeys........
Does anyone know if (FM and Bono) is true or not???
Understandably, Freddie was in quite a frenzy after coming off stage and was going way over the top with people he never met before i.e. to Bono where he said something like
"We've been thinking about it and we've decided we like you"
The way he said "we" is quite funny I think and I'm sure he used that word a lot that day to have his way with people!
So to answer your question, Freddie approached Bono backstage but was way too immature and young in the business to handle Freddie!
Didnt freddie shove him up against the wall?, in a playfull way i mean,
and freddie never got on with johnny rotten from the sex pistols apparently, anyone have the story on that? didnt he take the piss out of freddie then freddie mocked him by saying his name wrong or something about it. i dunno lol

Actually, Freddie tried to be friendly, wanted to shake his hand and mistook his name
"Mr. Awfull, isn't it?", or something.
After that, it didn't go too swell...
There's a U2 book where I remember reading that Brian came up to Bono after the Live Aid gig and told him:
- That guitar player of yours The Hedge, is really damn good.

Did freddie also get it wrong or something when saying "you're the fellow from the boomtown rats, aren't you?"
and the reply was "Er...no, i'm the fellow from ultravox!"

I think he called him 'Mr Ferocious'
No, Mr Ferocious was Sid Vicious the murderer
But did Freddie pin Bono against the wall?
Freddie didn't put Bono up against the wall, he just blocked him in a corner from getting away from him! There is an old interview out there somewhere on the net where Rotten disses Freddie, mocking his 'Nijinsky' outfits and his interests in Ballet. Recorded around 1978 I think. Freddie did call Rotten "Mr Awful" as well when they met.
Here's another post you may find interesting: link
He was just very very excited after coming off stage and who can blame him? He was going around snogging and hugging everyone and having a laugh. He put Rick Parfitt from Status Quo into a head lock as well that day haha.
Look at the Live Aid footage and you will see Freddie touching Bono's elbow which is sexual body language. So the answer is yes, Freddie is sexually attracted to Bono.
