I'm sorry, I've tried, I really have. I sat up and watched most of the Super Bowl last night, I watched loads of American Football games on Channel 4 when they used to have a live game once a week, and I just don't get it.
I enjoy most sports, but American Football leaves me stone cold. It's all stop start, posing and prevarication. There's no chance for any drama to build up, no continuity.
Compare last nights Super Bowl to the Scotland France rugby match at Murrayfield earlier the same day, now that was edge of your seat stuff, there's no hiding place there, everybody on the pitch was accountable from start to finish.
Perhaps it's just a cultural thing, perhaps Americans are so used to time outs and advertisers breaks that for them it doesn't interrupt the flow.
Like I said guys, I'm sorry, and I have tried, really I have. Maybe some of you who go nuts over the game could explain to me why.

you just really need to understand whats going on in the game. Pretty much in any game, and you gotta appreciate what they train for. And dont worry we dont expect too much from you (football wise) :)
